Adrián Hoteles Jardines de Nivaria

Our experience was first class from the beginning of our visit. As has been mentioned before, the reception staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I also want to single out the young manager that attended to our questions and requests. He was very customer oriented and helpful. Normally I don't focus too much on reviewing hotel staff, but in this case it is warranted, as it really stands out compared to many other 5 Star hotel I have stayed in. We had a really nice room and our requests were fully met. We especially enjoyed the balcony with a view over the pool and garden, and we even had seaview. Some reviewers have mentioned that the rooms seem dated. Perhaps the design is not what a newly built hotel would use, but personally I actually really liked it overall. The room is really big and where do you still get a walk-in closet these days? When we asked for a late check-out we were offered to move our luggage to a courtesy room with toilet and shower. Exactly what we needed! The pool landscape is fantastic and the garden landscape is very well taken care off. We enjoyed both the heated saltwater pool and the slightly cooler pool with waterfalls. Also the large whirlpool was a delight. I'd like to mention something about the nearby beaches: One of the reasons I chose the Adrián Hoteles Jardines de Nivaria was its closeness to the Playa del Duque, which is often referred to as one of the nicest beaches on Tenerife, because of its golden color sand. Well, I can tell you, this is definitely not or no longer true! The color of the "Duque Beach" is just the same grayish tone as the much closer Playa de Fanabe. I guess the imported Sahara sand has been blown away over the years. Don't get me wrong in my opinion, Playa del Duque is still a worthwhile beach to go to, but it is at least a 15 minute walk from the hotel while Play de Fanabe is right in front of the hotel and its sandy beach and the clean water of the Atlantic was just as nice.

Before our arrival I debated for a long time if I should keep my reservation at the Adrián Hoteles Jardines de Nivaria because of its rather high price even in November. You can definitely find cheaper options and vacation rentals with community pools closeby are also a good alternative. However, at the end I am very happy that we kept our reservation as spending time in the "oasis" that the pool and garden landscape offers combined with the hotels location near the promenade and two nice beaches is quite unbeatable. I still think the price is too high, but the overall very enjoyable experience of our stay sort of balances out that only pain point.

Brilliant value for money 5 star hotel by European standards, prices very reasonable. Hotel itself was nice looking in keeping with 5 star rating. Fabulous landscaped grounds. Excellent pool. Great food, especially breakfast. Staff friendly, helpful and courteous. Tiffany bar was excellent, special thanks to Rafa and Guillermo for making some great drinks. Nice room, comfy bed and pillows (subjective of course). Plenty of wardrobe space. Good location to access restaurants in nearby area.

1. As usual, having to 'reserve' the pool area sunbeds to get one in a decent position around the pool. The hotel policy states this is not allowed and towels etc will be removed but again, it is not enforced. In fact it is actively encouraged as clean towels are issued when handing back the used ones so they can be used the following morning before the pool area officially opens. 2. Pool service was not great. Not seen for long periods and good luck getting their attention to order drinks. Went to the bar ourselves more often than not (which is not a conveniently located pool bar).

Excellent location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, great facilities, nice selection of restaurants and services.

People keep reserving the sun beds at the pool by putting their towels on them before they go to the breakfast. I think the hotel should be even more proactive to keep removing the towels, so that there are sun beds available. So in the end it is people's fault but I think the hotel needs to take more action against it. Just place a warning sign on each reserved sun bed and check after 30 minutes - if still no one is there then remove the items. Checking once per hour was not enough.

The breakfast was phenomenal, the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. We both had the best nights sleep every night. We loved everything about the hotel, it was so clean and what made it even more special was the fact that we did not have to panic about finding a sunlounger by the pool. We were pleased to see the lifeguard removing any towels that had been used to reserve spaces. Your hotel is definitely one that I would go to again and would not hesitate it recommending it. Thank you for the most enjoyable experience.

There is nothing that I can say that I did not particularly like. The only thing I really missed was perhaps a paper version of the drinks and cocktail menu in the bar. I know it was on the app on the phone but I prefer to actually read a menu rather than look on my phone as sometimes it didn't load properly. The only other thing was that there wasn't much advertising of day time activities or what was available.

The hotel is spotlessly clean. The rooms are large with very comfortable beds. Fridge in room if you buy a package approx 10 euros per stay. Food limited menu but served fresh and staff helpful. Pool super - one heated one cold with waterfall. Evening entertainment hit and miss but hotel atmosphere was warm and friendly. We had a great time . The beach was 5 minutes away but we loved the comfortable loungers by the pool with cocktails served where we sat . Can’t wait to return . lots of fan Designer shops and restaurants near hotel, and supermarkets. Ideal location to please all beach lovers and pool lovers alike .

The loungers were subject to Germans laying towels on them at 7am but life guards did do regular purge of removal of towels ad hoc there were beds available and if not life guard would get you one .

Super nice staff and rooms. Pool area and the garden is beautiful, access to the beach is easy, towels can be used in the ocean as well. In overall service was extremely good something you can expect from a 5* hotel.

Direct beach access is closed at 11pm, this does not make sense to me. The breakfast was really nice, however it was not changing a lot, if you stay for more days it could be boring and quality of food was below my expectations. Eg salmon was bead. As in some other areas in canaries you can expect cockroaches even in your room. It would be nice to avoid loud machines by gardeners at 8am..

Not good for families, not allowed to play in the pool with a ball or have lilo’s in the pool either. Most sun beds reserved by guests before breakfast which is very annoying. Particularly when you are not allowed into the pool before 10 am.

Good hotel, everything worked , a/c, shower, lift, sun beds, pool, towels, garage. All good. Quiet at night. Good beds.

They are peny pinching. We paid €7000 for our room and had to pay extra to have the fridge unlocked. We couldn't take their birthday bottle of bubbly down to dinner. The cheapest pleasant red is €40 a bottle. Two thirds of guests eat out in the evening. They serve all the meats but don't have any of the sauces.

The room was spacious with an excellently thought out bathroom layout. The balcony was spacious with an amazing sea view and looking at the beach and Adeje seafront restaurants. By night, magical vista of twinkling lights. The Breakfast was absolutely lovely, fabulous juice bar and omelette stations and would cater to anything someone would likely have for breakfast. The waiting staff were very attentive. The whole Covid controls were excellent. Tables were spaced during breakfast, all staff wore masks throughout and guests were wearing masks when moving about. Outside, the sun beds were cleaned every night and little stickers placed showing that they had been disinfected when you looked for one the next day. Finally, through two access gates you went straight out onto the main restaurant walk, which we did every night. (Sorry, we didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on evening meals!)

The only thing we would comment on was that they needed more waiters poolside, as this was 'hit and miss' on how long you had to wait when ordering a drink. Otherwise, nothing we could say that we didn't like.

An excellent hotel from the minute we arrived until we left. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Upon arrival we received a tour of the hotel as we went to our room which really helped us to get our bearings. The room was very spacious and relaxing. The pool area was peaceful with staff coming around and serving us during the day. The choice between the heated salt water pool and the unheated pool was an added bonus for us. The food in the hotel was delicious and for the most part reasonably priced. The location of the hotel was also excellent due to its proximity to the beach, shops, and other local restaurants. There is nothing bad we could say about the hotel. It was excellent value for money considering the service we received and the available amenities. It was one of the best holidays we have been on. We will most certainly be back as soon as possible.
