Hotel Albahia Alicante

View of the Med from the balcony is very soothing. Although the hotel is 30 mins walk to Alicante, there is an excellent tram system which only takes 10 mins. The onboard pay m/c is in Spanish. Choose the "Senillo Tam" option (zone). In 2022 it was 1.45 euros each way. Amazingly well preserved Roman town 15 mins up the Rd. Hotel staff are really helpful, especially the reception lady and Antonlo the waiter. Hotel ugly outside, lovely inside. Have fun.

I suppose it would have been nice to have hot water coming out of the shower, but the outside temp was 30 degrees (mid Sept 2022), so no big deal really. Don't forget that the nearby beach is 15 mins walk or so, ie not directly outside the hotel.

Very clean rooms. Responsive, helpful staff. Nice lounge with kids. Delicious breakfast and dinner in the restaurant

Difficult to get to the hotel by public transport. The swimming pool is not located in the hotel area, but you have to go outside (only open until 7 pm). the hotel rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors of a multi-storey building, so it is difficult to maintain privacy if the curtains are not closed. There are garages on the ground floor, where repairs and a lot of noise took place early in the morning.

Lovely hotel located on the outskirts of alicante. A little dated but the hotel itself is well maintained and spotlessly clean. We booked superior sea view room and the balcony was a lovely bonus. Our rooms were made up daily with fresh towels every day. We did not avail of of the meal services so I can not comment. The pool was clean and supervised by a lifeguard daily, and very secure as you needed your room key to access same.

Location is a little bit far out but we managed the tram system ok and taxis from alicante were about €7. It definitely would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there is a good bit of walking and steps involved. If you are a brisk walker 30 mins will bring you in to the main part of alicante. The area itself is quite run down but the hotel is well maintained. The pool is also located a little bit away from hotel and has alot of steps. There is not alot near the hotel so if you are looking for something central I would not recommend this hotel.

Room was good nice view and enough room for us both .The cleaning staff were excellent keeping the room and all areas spotless . All the staff were friendly and helpful and very obliging .

The beds were horrific mattresses like sleeping on concrete never slept !! on such a hard bed .Whoever said it was a nice stroll to the town center was joking .We are not very mobile so had to use taxis to go everywhere all the time which was very expensive. The taxis used to turn up with 4/5 euros on the clock already .The tram stop when you could find it was a lot more than 7 minutes away .People should be warned about the long difficult walk to Town center .This hotel is not for for senior citizens. Make sure you can find a Hotel near the town center as its much to far out of town .

We were upgraded to the superior room which had a sea view. The rooms were clean and had air con. The ladies at reception were very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our bags and still use the pool as I flight was not until later. The hotel is part of a residential building so it meant we were more with the locals then in a built up tourist area. The bus stop is not far from the hotel and takes you to the beach further up or in to the centre.

The room needs to have a kettle. One was provided but only when you ask for it. There also needs to be a mini fridge put in to the room especially if it is being offered as a superior.

We liked the location of the hotel but it is about 1.3 km outside of Alicante and therefore does not have lots of bars and restaurants. The location is beautiful right by the sea and quiet, which we love. There are buses and trams very close to the hotel so you can easily travel to other areas. The tram goes as far as Benidorm and takes about 1 hour. What makes this hotel is the staff. They are amazing and do everything they can to make your stay memorable, providing excellent service at all times. A hidden gem😀

Not enough choice of food, although as a Celiac, they were able to lòok after me, including gluten-free pasta.. There is no fridge in the rooms or tea and coffee making facilities, although you can request the latter, and they will provide. No sunbeds were provided because the outside pool was closed until May.. Do book a premium room with a sea view.

We took a room on the ground floor, and the view at the coast was spectacular. Location is brilliant - right in the middle between the tram route to the city center and San Juan beach, both about 15m ride. Bathroom is big and supplied with a lot of cosmetics. Hotel has a separate entrance from the seaside, there's small shop nearby if you want some snacks and the hotel staff is very helpful. Totally recommended :)

-The balcony door are little bit problematic -Breakfasts are tasty but repetitive (same everyday). Scrambled eggs are almost cold even if you go early -Double bed is just a two single beds combined

The room was quite spacious, light with a wonderful view of the sea and palms. We had a sofa unfolded for a kid. Restaurant and lounge room look at the sea so it was always pleasant stay there. There were some toys and books for kids in the lounge. There is also a gym with some exercise equipment. As the sea seemed not warm enought for us, we used hotel swimming pool and enjoyed it. Cleaning staff of the hotel is great.

Breakfast-not much to choose from although there was a variety of pastry. Location is far from perfect, you need to go to Albufereta beach about 10 mins. No decent supermarkets in vicinity.

The room was very clean, nothing luxurious but you pay for what you get. Pool was very nice.

I found the location a little awkward. There are very few restaurants that open before 8 pm in the area. All I wanted was a simple pizza so ended up walking about 30mins away and getting one but it wasn't even a restaurant it was more like a take away place. There are no USB port in the room. I had forgotten my adapter and I was stuck to charge my phone.

I loved how nice everyone were and the food there oh my god!!! AMAZING! I saw reviews of people complaining about the location, but honestly it was the perfect location and their breakfast literally the best food I’ve eaten! If you do go I recommend staying in a room with a balcony, the view is beautiful!

there wasn’t much that I didn’t like, but if I have to point out to one thing was the receptionist I didn’t catch his name but he was rude to us the moment I told him that I didn’t speak Spanish. But like I understand his point of view so I wasn’t very annoyed about it, simply because the rest of the staff were all lovely.
