Parador de Carmona

The hotel is beautiful. We had a fantastic room with a stunning view and everything in the room was spotlessly clean and the decor completely in keeping with the building. There’s an amazing courtyard , lounges, a bar and restaurant and a terrace with the same breathtaking view. It’s also a ten minute walk to the main square in Carmona, which is a very lovely place.

We had dinner there one night and the experience was so bad I made a complaint the next day. The manager came and spoke to me and said he would speak to the team. He took €6 off out €96 bill ( we had the tasting menu as a special treat 🙄) as this was the price of the wrong drinks we were brought at the start of the whole event. Such a shame as our stay there was so lovely, but that meal was a disaster from start to finish.

A simply stunning Parador in an amazing location, perched high up on a hill overlooking the surrounding plains. We arrived very late ( 12.30am) due to unforeseen circumstances and were well looked after by the night receptionist. The interior was amazing , as was the lush garden setting. The views from our balcony took in the adjacent ruined Moorish Castle, which was magical. Breakfast was very comprehensive and tasty. Morning staff were very helpful in allowing us to have later checkout, to compensate for our late check in, so that we could extend our pleasant stay there. My only regret was that we hadn't booked another night, for a more complete experience.

This is my 4th stay at this hotel. One of my favorite hotels in Spain. The beautiful patio, the view from the balcony of the room, the interior decoration of the hotel, the interior decoration of the hotel, the interior decoration of the restaurant and the delicious food, all come together to make your stay comfortable. The interior of the room was also equipped with a TV, Wi-Fi service, and a bathroom, so I was able to spend a more comfortable time. We will be back again for our 5th stay! This is a great hotel that I would recommend to everyone. thank you!

Walking into the Parador is one of those WOW moments just beautiful…. from the start of our stay at the Parador the reception staff were helpful & friendly, usually when staying at a hotel there could be someone who isn’t too friendly, the staff here go beyond friendly & helpful. We would also recommend a trip with Alfonso who drives you around Carmona & tells you all the history & more….

there wasn’t anything to dislike

We loved our visit here. The staff were exceptionally helpful with anything we needed. They advised us on local restaurants and booked them for us. I sprained my ankle during our stay and couldn't walk from our car to the hotel. They immediately supplied us with a wheelchair, a bag of ice and advice as to where to get medical help, if needed. The meals were superb and included local dishes. We had an incredible view from our large and spacious room and enjoyed sitting on our balcony in the comfortable garden furniture.

Nothing! It was perfect!

the drive up to the property was just amazing, and arriving at the gates, wow. Check in was easy, and the room was on the same floor, with a fantastic view. The building and courtyard is just beautiful. We had diner in the evening in the restaurant, again didnt disappoint, the food was of very high quality and lovely presented, the menu had some different options, which was very good. You must wonder into Carmona and sit in the squares and take in the daily life, and watch the world go by, with a glass of wine, Carmona is very pretty.

It is clear that they are short staffed, it was bank holiday and in the afternoon, they had 2 young lads working a very large area to cover the bar area and terrace, service was very poor, tables were not cleared, orders were taken and not delivered, so we ended up after nearly 1 hour, to leave and wonder into the village. Its a shame, as the paradors are known for their service, its clear management didnt account for the bank holiday.

Last day we requested a very early breakfast on checkout. We were told no problem but it would be pastries. We though great crossiants and coffee. But no very sweet doughnuts and cake and the coffee machine did not work SO NO COFFEE at six in the morning that does not work. I asked for a refund on the breakfast it was all shown separately on my bill but this has been refused as apparently I was on a daily B&B rate but I ask if it is shown separately on the bill then surely they can refund just to cover my breakfast cost at the airport.

The location was just the right place for us on our last stop over driving through Spain to our apartment on the Costa del Sol. The swimming pool was amazing and so welcomed after a hot and tiring drive. When we checked out we were told about the local Puerto de Indias gin distillery and having drank a glass by the pool the evening before visited it and bought a few bottles to savour during the rest of our holiday.

A wonderful parador. We had a superb room, which we would ask for again. A never to be forgotten view.

The service at breakfast could have been better. The young ladies serving were neither friendly nor welcoming - almost grudging at times - though the more senior lady was delightful. We usually had to seek out a waitress to make an order, rather than one come to us. We requested an early morning wake-up call prior to our departure, but it never came.

The views are spectacular. The bedrooms are spacious with a large bathroom and our room had a balcony. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of continental options but also cooked options available as well. The staff are always really friendly and they go out of their way to help.

On previous visits we have been able to use the bar until late after dinner, however this time it was always closed by the time we returned from dinner which was a shame. Also, we would have liked to have had a drink in the courtyard area where the fountain is but we weren't allowed to be served there.
