Hostal Concejo

Very nice comfortable room great to have a balcony as not all rooms have one, good bed, shower over bath not good for people over 70, needs a hand rail. Good glasses in the bathroom was great so we could make a cup of tea whenever we wanted. Good to have a garage on site at a reasonable price 12€ per night.

The garage was very tight and spaces hardly big enough I was a little worried coming out as it's steep up to the door.

Located just by the main plaza. The room was right on the corner with two big windows where you could sit and watch the world go by. Plus the air conditioning was a godsend! No breakfast, but you wouldn’t want it because its so lovely to sit in the plaza in the morning with a coffee and tostada con tomate!

It claims to have parking facilities, however when we arrived we were told there was only one space for one small car. We therefore had to park in the town car park and wheel all our luggage to the accommodation. The parking was our reason for choosing the hotel, so the advertisement was misleading.

The location is perfect, facing a small plaza which is actually just a few seconds from the main Plaza or Plaza Mayor. Henrique at the front desk officer is very helpful and accommodating, he offered a big room however it was the top floor and the windows were above like the attic or slanted. I requested a room with view of the mini park and he moved me to another room. It was smaller but still comfy, the bathroom was big, had a balcony and small heater/humidifier. The room and toilet were very clean no speck of dust, there was a blower dryer, toiletries and a tub! My only issue, which is common to any hostel/hostal are the thin walls, the next door occupants seem to be working on a computer or had a machine making sounds at 4am! I could here noises, foot steps and doors opening closing. Didnt bother me much though. I hope they would add English channels or subscribe to a cable, everything was in Spanish or mostly local and radio station. Internet connection is very good too. Great value for your money, I'll definitely stay here again.

Just wanted a few channels in English, they did have but all dubbed in Spanish. The cartoons or Friends show was in Spanish.

Nice and comfortable bed. The toilet was good too. Beautiful view from the balcony. There's a outside patio which was perfect to keep our bikes safe and give them a little clean up.

There was a bit of debris on the bedroom floor but nothing too bad. Bikes don't fit in the lift (which at check in they told us) but there's stairs to the second floor and it's absolutely fine!

Amazing location. Short walking distance to everything in Salamanca. Good value for location.

Definitely a two star property. Room was a bit jaded and bathroom had drain smells due to unused bidet. If coming by car beware hotel is in pedestrian area. Parking limited everywhere and costly through hotel.

Hostal Concejo is one of Salamanca’s hidden gems. The rooms are what one might consider somewhat outdated by modern hotel standards but they are comfortable and provide you with everything you might need. The staff is also incredible and the location cannot be beat! I stay here every time I am in Salamanca!

This time we stayed on the top floor and the walls seemed pretty thin. At 1 am we could hear our next door neighbor taking a bath. This is not the fault of the hotel though. It is the only critique I have!

The location is fabulous and the place is clean and comfortable and good value for money. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I didn’t mind the room on the 4th floor with the low ceiling but for my tall partner it was a bit challenging. But hey, it didn’t really matter as you don’t spend much time in your room anyway!

Location was great and staff were very helpful. There was a mix up with our parking, as we were told the wrong parking bay to use, but the manager helped us fix it promptly.

Our room decor was very dated in comparison to the rooms shown online. The living area was nearly the same size as the bathroom which made the room feel a little cramped.

Everything was great for a low price, I would consider another spot if spending a lot of money or staying a long time, only because the bathroom is a bit small and very outdated. Beds were comfy, staff was great, and location is top of the line!

The room was spacious and tastefully furnished. The bathroom was quite big as well. My favorite thing was staying inside the roof and when you open the roof windows you can see and feel the rooftops of Salamanca. Really an exceptional place to stay. And look at the location, almost directly on the main plaza - but enough distance to avoid the noise.
