Hotel Rural XQ Finca Salamanca

Spent 5 wonderful nights here in early February. We were checked in by Mabel in reception who was very friendly and welcoming. Our room, no 215 had a view of the avocado plantation plus the hills and even the sea beyond. We had a sofa, chairs, tv, fridge and kettle and the room was well appointed, large and airy. The finca was a delight to walk around and the pool area perfect for relaxing and swimming. The restaurant is so characterful and serves the most delicious food, we had dinner here 4 times and highly recommend.

Wi fi only available in 1 room near reception. Very unusual not to have Wi fi in your room in 2024, so room for improvement.

S accommodation we were extremely satisfied. We stayed at the hotel for 14 days - a family with two children. Especially breakfast and dinner exceeded our expectations. Dinners were always perfect - high-quality ingredients, and each meal was meticulously prepared. The staff was exceptionally friendly - we haven't encountered such an exceptional approach to guests in a long time. We recommend it, and we would definitely come back again!

The room was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout. The breakfast was good quality with plenty of choice. The time for breakfast was also well planned with a 2 hour window.

The meal we had the 1st night was excellent, with great service and attention to detail, but the next 2 nights were a disappointment. It was almost like a different chef was on duty. The main meals on the 2nd night were lacking in flavour and definitely could have been warmer. We actually sent our soup back on the 3rd night to be warmed up. Also the options on the menu are limited if you are staying for more than a couple of nights.

Well located, is a motel style room more than a finca, rooms are dark and musty but adequate. Plenty of parking and has a clean non heated swimming pool which is in a area that is very drab. Didn't stop me using the pool which was very clean but also very cold !! Is a very interesting building with large grounds and you cannot hear the main road, breakfast was average, was the only place on our 1 week stay of 5 different hotels where there was no egg station. WiFi doesn't work in the rooms, has a highly reviewed restaurant which we didn't use this time.

Musty rooms.

Very nice garden. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices and fresh fruits, but a pity the warm items like scrambled eggs were had already cooled down a lot at start of breakfast time. Spacious room.

- Only wifi in the lobby near the reception and even there is was very slow. 4G not working very well either in the rooms. - Lack of coffee maker or water boiler in the rooms, which you would expect in a quality hotel like this. - They did not have any tourist info sheets and employee at reception didn't know anything about hiking trails etc. So you better sort this out before your arrival, because the bad wifi.

Great location if you want to be outside of touristic areas and close to main roads to travel around the island. If you’re about to choose this hotel it’s the most important to book it with breakfast because it’s just awesome! Fantastic succulent and cactus garden - the property is huge!

The only window in the room are door (funny design) so it’s a bit dark. It wasn’t issue for us as we were gone trough the days but if someone stays in the hotel during the day that could be an issue. The way of making the beds - the duvet is not fully covered. They put sheet as a cover and on top of it duvet so there is no real linen. Restaurant for dinner is a bit overpriced compared to what you get.

The buffet breakfast is simple but good. Something for everyone there. Also the staff just could not be nicer. Everyone always with a big smile and a friendly, "Good morning". The location at the foot of the hills, surrounded by trees and greenery is lovely.

There is a room near reception for Wifi but no wifi in rooms. On a previous stay our room was sufficiently close to the wifi room or reception that our mobile hotspot worked just as well as in room wifi. Unfortunately on this stay we were in a different room, and mobile hotspot didn't work at all. So if that is important to you, ask for a room near reception.

The beds were comfortable and there was a large patio in front of a garden facing the mountain. Beautiful morning view. The buffet breakfast was simple but tasty, and there were different choices on the two days we were there. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and not expensive. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

There was a shower/bath. As I was travelling with my elderly mother, a walk-in shower would have been better. The first night was peaceful but the second one we had neighbours who talked loudly and we could hear them right through the wall for half the night.

The place is 20 minutes far from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. We are apart of the civilization and in a big and nice neighborhood. Staff is very helpful and kind. You can go easily to the volcano El Teide.

WiFi connection is only available next to the front desk but with a good network. However, aren't we here to be apart of the world?!

After redirecting our flight from Madeira to Tenerife we had to find an accomodition for night very quick. Lady at reception desk was unbelievably kind and helpful at the middle of the night. She provided us fruits as we were really hungry and managed to get taxi for next morning. The area of the hotel is really nice! Thanks for your help, we are really greatful!
