Hotel Auditorio Santiago & Spa

The top-floor room had views across to the city. There was a little traffic noise but closing the window fully stopped the sound. We needed the aircon as the weather was very warm, and there was also a fridge in the room. We found it extremely comfortable and slept very well. we didn’t use the spa facilities. To explore the city we caught the No 10 bus right into the centre from the bus stop about 3mins walk away, much easier than driving and under 4 euros each return. Wouldn’t hesitate to return if in the area

The only downside was the quality of the bar meal we had, and the small size of the bathroom.

Large purpose built hotel - spacious public areas and good size, very usable room. The gym and pool were both very good - clean & well maintained. Easy parking - with cover from the elements (a sort of sun roof structure) available. Easy to get to from the road network as the hotel is basically out on the ring road. The hotel has a cafe attached - in like me with Spanish custom, this opens at 8 or 8.30pm for the evening meal. The breakfast was more than adequate - not sumptuous but a good range of items.

This is an automatic corollary of its ring road location: there’s not much around it and one has to drive into Lugo to see the sights: impressive city walls and a cathedral. The town itself seemed a little quiet and even a bit down at heel - but perhaps this was because we were visiting it on a Sunday evening.

We really enjoyed the pool in the lounge area outdoors. We enjoyed walking on the Camino Primitivo In and out of town and taking the number 10 bus from in front of the hotel to the centre of Lugo for the economic price of €.65. The bus runs twice an hour.

The Jacuzzi was disappointing because the water temperature wasn’t much warmer than the pool, more deck chairs would’ve been appreciated in the lounging area.

Modern hotel with swimming pool, gym and nice facilities. It is outside the city which it was ok with us. We had a car to drive into the city. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and the air conditioning. My grandsons loved the pool and gym. The staff was helpful. They had a breakfast buffet which we didn’t go. Also a cafeteria where we had breakfast. Great value for the price. I would go again.

Imposable to see the name of the hotel when approaching by road. Small television. Shampoo and bath gel sachets difficult to open.

Very large rooms, nice breakfast and spa center, free parking just by the hotel; Friendly staff! great value for money.

A bit old-fashioned and a smell of smoke in the elevators. Absence of a kettle is also a nuisance.

Staff is really helpful and attentive

Road can be noisy so ask for a room at the backside. I got a frontside one but they were happy to change it without charge.

We chose this hotel for the pool, the gym, and it’s closeness to a golf course. We were very happy with all of the above. And .. pleasantly surprised with the professionalism of the staff ( María at reception in particular). Also pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service in both the restaurant and cafeteria.

I only wish the shower at the pool had warm water!

A bit too far from the city center. If one is traveling by car this is not a problem. Rooms are noisy, it was possible to hear people in the other rooms. It was really a pity because the hotel is nice and the price quite good too.
