Hotel Doña Catalina

Excellent central location in San Pedro, close to amenities and shops, and easy 5 minute walking distance to the bus stop for buses into Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estepona. My room was a decent size for a single and had a nice modern walk in shower.

As with many Spanish hotels, there was no kettle or tea/coffee making facility in the room, which is pretty essential for a British visitor, so this would have been a nice bonus.

I stayed just one night as I had to attend a clinic nearby. The staff at reception a Polish lady was extremely helpful and made sure that my stay would be pleasant, she is an asset to the hotel ! Room size was decent and clean. The hotel is very close to restaurants and shops. Parking around the area is limited to blue zones, but if you just walk a bit further away (5 mins) you can get free street parking, note that the area has zone emission restrictions and you would need a permit to enter with your car. Would stay there again.

I banged my head with the hanging TV, but I must say that I am a clumsy type !

I think I made the right choice. I was stayed for 8 nights and was kind of getting used to the town. I reserved a very small room (that was my problem). Front desk staff was friendly and never shied away away from assisting, They all spoke English pretty well. Closet space was great and so was having a little fridge (which did not make noise). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom looked brand new, The buses were conveniently located and that was good for me because I travelled a lot when I was there. Even the ones to Estepona and Ronda were conveniently located. It was cozy and clean and great for single travelers. If you do have children the town just built a new and well designed park.

I don’t like to sit on the beach, but for those that do it’s not as convenient.

The hotel is within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and shops where my husband and I had some of the best sushi we’ve had since moving to Spain four years ago. We only spent one night as we were in town for a concert. The two reception staff that we encountered were both friendly, helpful and professional and, as a plus, English speaking. The air conditioning functioned and the bed was large and comfy. We had a great night.

Nothing.. It was perfect for my needs. Would stay again. Roof terrace could do with some more greenery/screens

It is just the best small hotel I experienced. It is clean, well located, with great friendly staff, room has everything you expect - and everything works. When I had to spend 3 extra nights, I did not look any further - fortunately another room was available. For the price asked - I am happy to give 11 out of 10. Highly recommended.

No negative comments at all. Have to note, I never had breakfast at the hotel always having it much later at some cafe.

Nice, clean, comfortable room with small bath, in small hotel in old town centre, so within easy reach of shops/restaurants/etc. I had a room at the back, which was very quiet. Good wifi. Very good value for money.

Staff was super nice, room was great with a lot of lighting, everything was super clean. Would definitely stay again!

The only thing was the shower was quite fickle. Both the water pressure and temperature were quite erratic, so one moment you have a gentle warm stream and then it starts blasting cold water on you. But other than that, the stay was great!

The Doña Catalina is a lovely, clean hotel in a perfect position in San Pedro Alcantara. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the hotel is such good value for money. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast offered adequate choice, and we even had the offer of extra cooked items on a couple of the mornings. Would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in San Pedro.

Breakfast option could have been better for gluten free and coffee options but the food that was there was nice and fresh
