NH Marbella

Fantastic location on the Golden Mile. 10 min walk to Casablanca Beach where you will find the best beach bars and restaurants. Marbella town centre is a 20/25 walk away and Puerto Banus is only a 10 minute taxi ride. Excellent value for money in a premium location.

The derelict car park in front of the hotel. Although this is not visible from the hotel or pool it does lower the aesthetics of the hotel.

My room was lovely, clean & spacious. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice & same for room service (they very kindly made me a veggie sandwich that wasn’t on the menu) & the pool bar (the pizzas are amazing) Good cocktail menu too which were also really good!

I paid quite a lot for my 4 night stay & I was really surprised that the room didn’t have a kettle, also no chair on the balcony.

Property was nice and clean, pool facilities are really good, bar, food showers, toilet etc

I booked with a zero cancellation deal which was cheaper than my friends by around £70 who paid extra to be able to cancel up-to 24 hours in advance, that discount was never received, I paid exactly the same as them on arrival. I also went to the effort of pre booking my room so I had a sea/ pool view. I received confirmation that my chosen room was reserved for me and assumed it would speed up check-in. When I arrived the rooms were allocated on arrival and pre booking made zero difference, I had no view at all which was disappointing and a waste of time and effort on my part. Don’t offer the discounts or pre booking facilities if they are not going to be respected by the hotel.

Nice pool, clean rooms, comfy bed. There is a big supermarket 4 mins walking distance, great to buy water or snacks in case you need any.

The wifi quality in the room is very poor, and in the pool area is even worse! And why? Because they offer a premium wifi package to buy! Who does that anymore, in this day and age?! Of course we didn’t buy it, much better to top up our phone’s data package which we can use everywhere. The furniture in our room (delux room) was so old and worn out, that we practically only sat on our bed rather the furniture.

The room size was great, i like that there is internal door between the bedroom and the main door which gives much more quietness. while sleeping. Location is very convenient, and breakfast was good.

Was very difficult to get the touristic advices and guidance from the reception staff, most of them friendly but they don't know and have to wait long time at the reception. Ms. Angela, she is very knowledgeable about tours and guidance, very professional and pay attention to details, however have to wait long time in the queue.

Hotel was very well maintained and overall excellent quality and value. Parking very good and secure management. Euro 16 per night a bit expensive. Beautiful modern restaurant/breakfast room with very high quality buffet set up extensively laid out - no queuing really excellent. Rooms excellent only one remark the great parquet/wood floors if used must be well maintained/polished otherwise will show great amount of scratches which impair the overall look. So please treat them regularly. Staff very friendly and professional. Definately will stay again.

Parquet floor in bedrooms not good-looking some more maintenance on the wood needed or introduction of small rugs. The two pillows on the beds were very high and very low. Small changes in both to lower and raise.

A GREAT hotel with great receptionists and cleaners. all the people that work there make the hotel too. the facilities are very good a gym pool and sauna. the food is also very good on the occasions I ate there. a special thanks to Angela on reception who helped me on a couple of occasions making calls to another NH hotel to sort out a payment issue and always smiling and very helpful. the bed was also great for a good nughts sleep. Great value for money too.

The room was fantastic and surprised us when we arrived as there was an additional lounge. I had asked in advance for a large room if possible and with a Med view. Couldn't believe our suite as it had both. We were staying for a week so NH really looked after us. Utterly fantastic home for a week. The staff are friendly and highly professional. Nothing is too much bother and they really go out of their way to make you 100% comfortable. The breakfast is sensational - amazing range of stunning products. The pumpkin seeds, walnuts, cranberries and granola are top quality. The pears soaked in wine (yes for brekky why not) are high class cuisine. The pastries and fresh bread are delicious, they have a gluten free option too. The cheeses and hand made omelettes are great and they have a wonderful selection of sauces, for me a personal favourite. They have chilli oil, pepper sauce, Worcestershire, garlic oil, 6 choices of pepper and organic salt. NH know their spices. Parking outside is bountiful so we just left the car nearby and saved on that cost. Concierge helped with that too - how charming. The pool doesn't look much but absolutely works and is a lovely space once you are sitting by it and enjoying the smart gardens and peaceful surroundings. When the bar is open there is a fantastic atmosphere around the pool area - a buzz that everyone is enjoying. It takes a thoughtful hotel to create this and NH have done that brilliantly. The staff are all charming and professional - we felt like royalty and a local as it is friendly and inclusive. NH Marbella is a wonderful place to stay for walking into Marbella and driving out to Estepona and Malaga. Will absolutely be staying here again, utterly superb 10/10.

There is nothing that could be improved in my opinion. Really impressive set up and a lovely place to enjoy your holiday from.

The location is really great, you have two supermarkets at 5m walking distance, a Starbucks and Burgerking at 15m walking. The beach and boulevard is a short 10-15m walk. Not steep at all as I've read in some reviews. The rooms were super comfortable. Some people complained about thin walls, this didnt bother me (as a light sleeper) at all. You have a door between your bedroom and front door which you can close so no issues with sound. The rooms were cleaned every day, fresh towels everyday. Super friendly staff. There was also an iron + ironing board available whereas some reviews said there are none. They brought it up within 5 minutes. Comfortable bed and bathroom. The aircon was working perfectly. You have complementary shampoo, body lotion, conditioner and body wash. Amazing!

The hotel is a bit outdated but compared to the other hotels in the area you really have a better deal staying at NH. The balconies are lovely, you even have a drying rack for your swim shorts/bathing suit. Just a shame there are no seats to sit on the balcony.

We made our booking for bed only but did have breakfast on the last morning. The room, on the fifth and top floor of the building was actually a suite with a very large bedroom, separate lounge and well sized double bathroom. The suite was fully equipped with air-con, free Wi-Fi and two TV's in the bedroom and lounge, opening doors to a balcony overlooking the pool and the garden. We had an excellent continental buffet breakfast on the last morning but other than that we eat out in the Orange Square in Marbella centre. We decided on using this hotel as previously we stayed at the Guadalpin across the road but did not like its operating method. We would like to recommend the hotel and and its facilities.

One thing that did not go so well was a group of mostly male guests, occupied the pool side area and the pool and where quite imposing, throwing beach balls and using water pistols on each other and others near the pool. The threat made us move away to the end of the garden area to be clear of the problem. This happened on two days and by Wednesday they had left the hotel, but unfortunately we left on Thursday.
