Aimia Hotel

We had a standard room which was perfectly adequate but I would book a superior room next time as there was no balcony to sit out on and our view was mainly of an ugly flat roof. The breakfast is very good, especially the fruit - lots of variety for all tastes. Fresh orange juice had to be squeezed with a juicer contraption. I didn't mind doing this every morning because the oranges were so good! The home made marmalade was gorgeous. Beds were comfortable. Pleasant pool area. The hotel is in a quiet location and yet moments away from the hustle and bustle of the promenade. The hotel restaurant is good if lacking in atmosphere for dinner. There are many lovely restaurants to try in Port de Soller. Staff were professional and friendly - always smiling and helpful. They work hard to give satisfaction in all areas.

The sunbeds were uncomfortable. I realise there couldn't be fabric cushioning owing to covid concerns for hygiene but some wipe down cushions like the ones on the outdoor chairs? The coffee at breakfast from the machine was not very nice and the hot water was just "warm". Thank goodness for the kettle in the bedroom to make a decent cup of tea!

Lovely staff. Had some delays in the restaurant on our first night but the manager could not do enough to help and resolved the issue for us. Lovely indoor and outdoor pool areas. We were in a superior room which was a really good size for us and our toddler daughter.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, quiet but close to the beach and to the many restaurants in Port de Soller. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was really good with lots of choice and we were able to sit inside or on the terrace outside. Dinner is also available but we didn't have it so cant comment. The pool area is very good with pool towels provided. Our room had a lateral sea view and quite a large balcony which we really enjoyed. We had everything we needed in the room. Free parking is available in a secure car park very close to the hotel.

There was nothing we didn't like

Hotel was lovely. Any and all the amenities you may need. Really well maintained and cleaned, cleaners were excellent. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Pool is great. Beds are big and comfy. Location is nice, but it’s definitely worth getting the bus to some of the neighbouring towns and villages as they are stunning.

BREAKFAST - Full range and choice of items - fruit, cereals, breads, cheeses, cold meats, breads and local cakes/pastries, and numerous hot dishes. Breakfast room comfortable, light, airy and pleasant - with an option to sit outside. Really helpful and pleasant staff, and an even an early/late breakfast option. ROOM - Light, airy, spacious - more than adequate bathroom; comfortable bed; excellent storage. TV and tea/coffee/kettle also provided. LOCATION - 2 minutes walk to sea, numerous restaurants, less than 10 minute walk to bus.

2 Issues 1. Two single beds put together and used as a double bed. We were expecting a proper double bed. 2. We organised transport through the hotel. We were late arriving and our spin was gone. We also reorganised our taxi an hour earlier leaving and it still arrived nearer the original time even though they agreed. Also the price of the taxi each way was €68 whereas an ordinary taxi is €50.

This hotel ticked all the boxes for us. It is in a beautiful location with lots of good restaurants and access to great hiking. It was a very quiet and relaxing hotel. The rooms were all clean and modern and we had a larger room with a great seaview. The breakfast buffet was very good and staff in the hotel were all very cheerful and helpful.

The room was on the third floor and had a balcony with views of the sea. Everything in the room was kept in good order even if some of the furniture is a little old and a little tired. Breakfast was served in the dining room. Fresh orange juice was brought to the table and then it was a question of self service. All dishes were kept refreshed throughout the breakfast period and one could choose fresh fruit, cereals, cheese and cold meats, various bread types, and eggs (scrambled and fried with an option for an omelette) bacon, tomato and tortilla. Coffee was available from the machines at either end of the counter. The quality was very good. We dined twice during our week and had the fixed menu. On both occasions the fare was really good and good value. Without exception, the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The location is very good being less than 100 metres from the beach and within easy reach of the many good restaurants and shops in town.

For the first three days, we had to make do with heavy counterpanes to provide a bit of warmth. This was changed on the 4th day when lightweight duvets appeared. There was also a bit of a problem with mosquitos. This was solved with citronella candles on the balcony, beside the sliding door plus electric deterrents provided by the hotel.
