Estela Barcelona

We loved our stay at the Estela. It is filled to the brim with nice art, in the public spaces and in the rooms. Hygiene is taken seriously here, it was very clean. Our room was huge, with separate bedroom. The big balcony looked out over the port and sea. Cute cats filled the garden. Iris, the hotel's restaurant, served really excellent food. A bit pricy, but we found it worth it. Within walking distance there are also many restaurants with fresh, gorgeous, fish dishes!

If you're not a big walker, the hotel is a bit far from the city centre. Sitges has many steep slopes, I was surprised how exhausting that can be, especially when it's warm. For about € 12,- a taxi will bring you quickly to the centre though.

The beds were amazing. The room, views, orientation of balcony etc all good. The location is quiet, and fine - the port (just by) has restaurants so no need to have to walk to the busy town if you don't want to.. Breakfast was ample choice, good coffee.. Always a test!

The rooms were a bit brown.. Brown furniture, brown paintings, brown walls.. Funny querky kitchen area needs removing.. Useful but makes it less more 3 star than 4.. Needs lightening up.. And being a bit more modern. Walk in shower drain was blocked or draining badly - it's an issue when there's no door..but that's a solvable issue. Breakfast was good - fresh orange is needed not a machine Lacks a coffee machine in the room. Brought my own!

The art work and the lift was amazing, the size of the room was much bigger than we expected, fabulous art work in the room. Good to have bus stop across from hotel. Good beaches and restaurants nearby, but would like to see more shops in area.

Would’ve liked more gluten free options for breakfast and dinner. It took three attempts to get our door to our room fixed, we were worried about our personal items. Was told to slam door to lock it, but cleaner didn’t do that, came back to find door unlocked. It was fine once it was properly fixed.

The location is amazing, right across from the beach. And just a few minutes walking at the port there are a lot of restaurants. The property also offers a beach towel (when you ask). Breakfast is great, and they also offered gluten free bread for me :) (but again, you need to ask for it when making a booking). Parking is in the garage, 30 eur a day.

There is no elevator from the garage up. So if you have big luggage, you should drop it off at the door - where again, there is only stairs or you can go with a circle through the restaurant patio. Just something that is good to know before.

The hotel was amazing, we particularly enjoyed the fabulous array of art in the hotel. Our room was spacious and with a lovely view of the sea. Location was perfect, close to all the bars and restaurants of the port and within easy walking distance to Sitges Centre. Public transport was easy with the bust stop right opposite the hotel. Staff were really welcoming and helpful with anything we asked. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay again

One small point is that when the hotel is particularly busy at breakfast, items could be replenished more frequently

Could be a bit noisy when the nearby bar on the beach was playing loud music (but was mainly on Sat night). The first night we arrived we were tired and wanted to get a taxi into town to be on time for a dinner we had planned. The receptionist kindly booked a taxi on a computer system and we assumed it was coming. It never arrived and when we asked the receptionist she said it hadn’t been ‘allocated’ on the computer system yet. She didn’t seem interested in calling them or helping us, we kept having to ask her. Eventually we had to walk in and we were 45 minutes late.

A very clean and kids friendly hotel, its a perfekt place to relax away from the havoc and just nice views and beach. Its peaceful, can accomodate pets and kids l was really impressed. The cleaning staff is exzellent, welldone, the rooms are always clean.

The Pool area has a Bar , they could do better by selling cocktails in nice cocktail glasses and a Varieté of Snacks to give guests a holiday feeling. The food at the Restaurant is very bad , the waiters are very unfriendly.

Love the beach next to the hotel🥰Personal was nice 😊 amazing guys from the restaurant. We came after 22:00 they cooked amazing tuna and propose really good and not expensive wine 🥰thank you guys that didn’t leave us hungry 🙏🏼🤗room #104, with sea view, better recommend #204 but we was was ok with our too. A little bit old but still nice 😉. 20minutes by foot from the city center. Wanted to stay on the return our way too.. but the price getting much more higher(high season). Anyway I’ll recommend this hotel, was nice to stay there. Thank you 😊

I had a great stay here. I was in Sitges for a festival in the town and knew the hotel was a 20minute walk away from the centre. I liked this, the walk into town is very scenic and quickly became one of my favourite things to do each evening. there is always an option to get a bus right outside the hotel door which cost 1.5euro and took a similar amount of time running all hours through the day. Breakfast was really good, a decent mix of hot and cold options. The pool area was also pretty great and i noticed it was cleaned and tidied every morning and night during my stay, i also noticed that the water in the pools was tested a few times by an outside service which was pretty reassuring. the hotel was spotless in common areas, the cleaning team are also amazing and the days i didn't want my room cleaned, they still provided clean towels which was nice.

Bathroom a tiny bit outdated and showing its age - some dents in the roof of the bathroom, super minor stuff.

A warm welcome from charming staff on reception. Breakfast was excellent, very fresh with plenty of choice, we ate out on the terrace as our little dog was not allowed in the public rooms. We had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the sea and harbour, and a fridge! The beach is just across the road from the hotel so lovely for an early evening stroll. Secure underground car park was great, although a few stairs to get to reception there is a lift to all floors after.

Would be nice to have a couple of tables inside for dinner/breakfast in case of bad weather for guests travelling with a dog. But all was great otherwise, we look forward to our stay on the return journey from Spain to Cornwall, UK
