Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Göteborg

The staff were super helpful and friendly. Guided us through the check in and car park access with a friendly smile! The buffet breakfast is excellent!

Other guests can get noisy but this is always a possibility in a big hotel…

Great location, nice restaurant (Noot) and wonderful spa (Hagabadet) Love the beds and size of rooms and bathroom. Lots of space in the standard rooms and nice to have window to the street instead of looking down at the restaurant (a lot of noise)

Its a big hotel and I think the service level could be better. I wrote to the hotel several times upon arrival without any reply regarding parking, acces to spa and dinner reservation. We booked dinner and spa directly with Noot and Hagabadet and the hotel didn't inform us about the reduced prices although we asked. But we would go again due to the great location and nice room (we asked to get a new room because of the christmas partys in the hotel lobby/restaurant)

The location is perfect, very close to the train station. The room was of a good size and had a comfortable sofa. The bathroom was very nice, with a big walk-in shower. The hotel has a gym that is free to access and a spa with yoga classes that is accessible with a fee, but unfortunately we had not time to try either.

Our room did not have a window to the outside, the window overlooked the common area (I think the cafe and restaurant). We were a bit put off at first, but this turned out to be all right. Worth saying we were on the third floor, it may be less nice if you are on the floor below.

The room was very spacious! The breakfast was good. The common/breakfast area looks gorgeous! Beds were comfortable. The whole stay was pleasant. And, of course, the location is as central as you can get!

-Would've appreciated waffles option for breakfast. -When we were checking in, there were some candies at the reception - what a nice touch, i thought, and took one. The next minute another girl from reception started to collect the bowls with candies and took them away.. That felt a bit awkward.. -The room had a window, that was facing the inside area of the hotel - no fresh air from the street, if you want to have a nice breeze from outside, you need to book a room, that is facing the square.

We had a delightful experience. The hotel is clean, modern and has a central, convenient location. The interior design is fantastic - a glass covered courtyard and a glass elevator allowing a great overview. The breakfast was beyond expectations (crepes, shrimps salad, herring, salmon with fresh herbs beside, pastries, several types of fresh and hard bread, numerous options for coffee and cereals beside more regular eggs, charcuteries, cheeses). The hotel was able to accomodate us an early check-in, received and stored our delayed baggage giving us freedom to visit the town and the enjoy our stay. If the life will bring us back to Gothenburg, we will look no further.

Hard to name something. Maybe the mattress was a bit too soft for our taste but nothing else.

Location was 9 and close to everything we needed - including the train station to get to other places. The reception was friendly and patient (9+) and the bar staff was capable (8). The room was large and had a lot of space including a wardrobe. The bed was comfortable, but all of the pillows were super big which made it hard to sleep on them without getting a crick in the neck. The lighting was good, plenty of sitting space, and good luggage layout space. Bathroom was large and shower was sufficient size. The bathroom had everything (including a washcloth) except there was no hand soap which I think was a housekeeping oversight. It was corrected on the second night.

Really not much. I guess if I had to list something it would be the cleanliness was probably an 8 out of 10.

Breakfast was good and sufficient. The staff was friendly enough, helpful and informative. The ambience is quite unique. There is an indoor plaza in the middle with the rooms at the flanks having their own small balconies. And the breakfast restaurant sits in the middle of the plaza. Very nice.

The lamp above the coffee table was too low. Although I am not a tall person, I frequently hit it with my head, quite annoying. There is no bidet in the toilet. And when we left an empty water bottle beside the closet, it was removed by the housekeeping staff.

I was in a corner suite and it was very nice. The sofa was good, the bath in the room enjoyable and the two sinks in the bathroom useful. Nespresso machine was a nice touch, and room service was responsive and punctual. It was also nice that room service breakfast was reasonably priced and reasonably nice. It was possible to start the day in a lazy way and to be prepared to face the dark, cold Swedish winter.

The bed was a little soft. It was fine, and I am sure it is just a matter of taste, but I would have preferred a little more support. Something I don’t like in general about traveling in Europe (I live in Japan), was that the room lacked things like toothbrushes and toothpaste. However, staff brought some immediately to the room when I asked, which is the norm for this continent.

Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel is located in the hotel quarter of Goteborg. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from the main train station and again 5 min walk distance to main tram routes of Goteborg. Rooms are clean, comfortable and you have balconies opening to an inner alley. Rooms are equipped with a safe, coffee machine and with a minibar. Bathroom was equipped with bath tub with a shower. Free bottle of water was in the room when we checked in. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was full of choices and open buffet. There is a nice lobby bar in the center of the hotel where you can have drinks. Also a gym and SPA was available. Overall a very good option for a weekend in Goteborg as it is situated in the center of the city and close by to transportation options. With half an hour walk you can reach to many attractions of Goteborg.

Although there is a free bottle of water available, it was not replenished every day after the room was cleaned. It would be good to have everyday a bottle of water.

Beautiful modern building, nice and competent staff, comfortable room and bathroom. Meeting our student son, we asked for a family room. There were two single beds and one sofa. The last one was a little less comfortable, the others were perfect. One of the staff members came to open the sofa for the night. There was a lamp orginally hanging above a small table in the livingroom part, which was unlucky placed once the sofa was opened, but these are details. Next morning an incredible breakfast buffet, with so much choice, I think this is the best breakfast I ever had in a hotel! At last but not least the hotel is very well located, just in front of the central station. If we are coming back? No doubt about it :)

Just the sleeping comfort of the sofa. Everything else was more than perfect.
