Hotel Waldhorn

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was small but very clean with a comfortable bed and well equipped (kettle, coffee, tea, hair dryer). There is a very good working internet and there is a desk in the room, so you can work comfortably if you need to. The staff is very kind, at midnight they saved me with a plug adapter!

I can't think of any real inconvenience. Breakfast could be a bit more varied (more vegan options). There is a nice station at the entrance to the hotel with a coffee machine - this is great but you might consider 'traditional' cups instead of disposable paper cups.

I like the place because it is newly renovated. Pretty convenient and very clean hotel. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. Providing free of charge coffee, tea and etc. is very cute. Using the tram nearby the city center is easily reached. The neighborhood is also pleasant and quiet with some restaurants, shops, cafes nearby. Breakfast is simple but very tasty and was just my type of food. Definitely I would use the hotel again if I have the chance.

The hotel is located near the tram stop. The staff are friendly, free water in the room, free coffee at reception and very clean hotel.

I did not like the food truck that parked under my window for two days. He placed umbrellas, tables and chairs where people were sitting, making a noice and smoking. All the smoke came into my room. Also the one day kids washed bicycles under my window and smoked and made a noice till late the night. I had to asked them to be softer. This is not a quiet street and the windows need to be open as the room do not have AC.

The hotel is in walking distance from the Old Town of Bern, it took us less than10 minutes. You could also take the public transportation for which you will receive free tickets. The staff is very friendly. There is parking available at a reasonable cost. The room was very comfortable (although we booked the cheapest option). A nice touch was the coffee and tea facility in the lobby. The area is very quiet, but there are restaurants and cafe's in walking distance.

The staff was absolutely polite and helpful. The room was clean and totally functional. Breakfast coulb be a bit better e.g. fired or srambled eggs could be offered. I propose to set a Sauna if possible, that would increase the value of the stay of the guests. Location is just great. Old town is 15 mins away on foot or 5 mins by tram which runs quite often. So you are away from the noise of the streats however you are just an armreach distance from the main spots of the city.

Breakfast very good and varied but some hot foods would have been a plus. Room, hotel facilites and staff excellant. Jocation to transport into city great, only 2 stops on the tram.

Lack of aircon. Pillows were not very comfortable. In room Tea/coffee making facilities would be a plus.

The Hotel Waldhorn was comfortable and spacious. It was a bit farther to the AlteStadt than we realized BUT they provide a Bern pass for use on public transportation that was great. The breakfast was great and delicious. The parking lift and garage was a good option for us to have the free parking.

Although it didn't have any restaurant, there were plenty of options within an easy walking distance, particularly a great Italian restaurant across the street.

The location is excellent as there is a tram stop right on the corner. It's nice to have the coffee/tea in the reception area. Got some free water bottles in the fridge. There is a reasonable continental breakfast selection. The rooms are modern, well equipped and clean with comfy beds. Staff is helpful and friendly.

WiFi didn't work the whole evening until the next morning on the first day. When asked about it was told it was due to bad weather. The next day it worked but sometimes would stop for no reason. Steps in front of the lift to get to the rooms are annoying with stroller and bags and the lift is quite small. Car lift is also a little tight. Cups for coffee at reception should have rings to avoid doubling up as they get too hot to hold and there is a risk of burning your hand.

The location is only a 10 minute walk to the city centre of Bern, which is great! The rooms are really clean and staff is friendly. At breakfast there is a lot to choose, even for one of our colleagues who has a gluten-allergy.

The rooms are a little small, especially when you are travelling with colleagues. The advert says 'double room with separate beds'; there are indeed two separate beds, but they can not by separated. It was fine for us, but good to know before you book a room here.

Excellent breakfast and team. Very good location in nice quiet area. Very near to the old center.
