Hotel Amaris

Super convenient location near the old town and train station. Despite the nearby train lines there was hardly any noticeable noise (we had a room towards the back). The «comfort room» was spacious, the bathroom exceptionally large. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

After the booking we were «bombarded» with a repetitive e-mails suggesting online check-in. As we did not know when we would arrive, we did not want to do that. The messages, finally, seemed to indicate that online check-in was necessary, perhaps due to absence of receptionist staff, even during normal arrival times. This did not turn out to be the case. Nevertheless, we found the repetitive e-mails inconvenient. Possibly the many messages resulted in «parallel» reactions by the hotel and booking.com

Really enjoyed our stay…we were retired interrailers…the hotel was absolutely perfect for access to the station…and yet it was quiet also. Perfectly clean, great facilities. Breakfast was just great…major regret was that we had to go before breakfast was served on our last day…staff were lovely also and offered us a packed lunch in lieu of the missed breakfast.

Great location if travelling by train, literally a few minutes walk from Olten station. Clean and comfortable room. Kettle + tea/coffee items were provided on request which was appreciated. Relatively good value compared to hotels in Zurich or elsewhere in Switzerland.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way back home. The bed is comfy and the shower modern. The blinds to darken the room were very practical and did what they were supposed to do. Although just next to the train station we could not hear the trains. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Parking is 9CHF, and just behind the hotel which is very convenient. The village of Olten is supercute and worth a short visit before continuing your journey!

The room was not very clean. The floor was very dusty. There was still a hair from the previous visitor on the shower head. There are quite some ‘usage’ marks in the room, although it all still looks quite new/modern. I would just put a new toilet seat as it is not very inviting to sit on a yellowish one with spots. Although we could not hear the trains, we could hear the people in the neighbouring rooms taking a shower, talking, walking, etc This hotel is MUCH nicer than any motel we stayed in, but I would not spend a whole week here. It is perfect for a stop or a very short stay. :-)

The room was excellent and came with Air Conditioner unit. The bathroom and room were spotless and well-appointed. I didn't have breakfast due to lack of time. The hotel's close proximity to the railway station did not detract from my comfort.

It was a shame that the bar was closed on that Friday night as I was looking forward to chilling out before bed.

Notwithstanding the fact that the hotel is in close proximity to Olten station (the Crewe of Switzerland) and our room overlooked the railway (at my request) we both slept soundly (the benefit of electric traction universal on Swiss railways! A superb location for travel out and back to virtually anywhere in Switzerland

Room was great, no problems. After a 11 hour drive from Italy it was just what you needed to 'chill out'. Breakfast was good value ( unlike most things in Switzerland ) and it set us up for the day. Receptionist booked restaurant for us as we arrived near closing time and desperately need food. Coffee pod machine in the room. good to have a coffee first thing.

Very accomodating and the staff are very helpful

Just once incident when somebody open our door and I got scared but when I talk to theirs staff they assure it will never happen again and they gave me compensation for what happen..

Few steps away from Olten Train Station . Very convenient if travelling to different Swiss cities . Great breakfast selections . Laundry room is available .

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were large and well-equipped. The lady who checked us in was extremely kind in responding to our questions and making sure we got rooms near each other. The parking was located just behind the hotel. It is an easy walk into town.
