Hotel Engel

The room was immaculate with an incredible view, and one of the best hotel showers I’ve ever had!! The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay, and the area itself was so peaceful and quiet, especially early in the mornings. We also loved the breakfast. We easily could’ve stayed for another 3 nights - we will definitely be back!

There isn’t much parking available, so you might have to move your car around or lose your spot when you go out. But the staff there were always really helpful and did their best to manage it properly.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout the hotel. In particular the reception team were supportive in showing us where to park; and the friendly helpful service in the dining room was very notable - cheerful, professional and they could not have done more to look after us. We opted for a meal inclusive tariff, expecting to have to go beyond this to the a la carte menu - but the choices in the meal plan were interesting, varied and excellent quality for the price of the meal. The room was modern, comfortable, quiet and cozy, with everything needed to enjoy a short stay.

The staff were very friendly and made sure that our stay went smoothly. The location is great, a pretty village with mountain views. The restaurant had outdoor seating and the food was excellent. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and had the addition of a Nespresso coffee maker! The parking could possibly be a slight problem if the hotel is busy but I’m sure there would be something not too far away. We have been looking for a great hotel for a one night stop for ages and now we’ve finally found one! We will definitely stay again!

The room was comfortable, spacious and super clean. There are two terraces for hotel guests where we could relax and enjoy the views. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in Engel hotel.

In our room internet connection was very poor. Breakfast was good, but it was rather cold buffet.

Rooms were nice, coffee maker was awesome, having A/C was huge, comfortable beds, and staff was really kind & helpful!

The breakfast was not a highlight, needs more options, variety. Having the terraces locked on Sunday evening prohibited us from eating outside, getting utensils, things we needed to have take away food.

- great base for all cycling activity I intended with rented car - appreciated the dinner more than breakfast. They were ver accommodating even when I was late once. - Has a modern feel. Not sure if the age of the place but places I’ve stayed in after were a bit more tacky. - Decent price for Switzerland - All staff were kind, helpful and fair - Great air conditioning

In the centre of Stans, and also a 1 minute walk from the train station - only a 20 minute train to Lucerne. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, especially to our dog, and spoiled my mother-in-law on her birthday. The room was stunning, clean and so comfortable. The food was delicious.

Lovely and modern inside with a traditional feel on the outside. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are lovely with comfy beds. Parking is easy and train station is less than a minute walk for trains into Lucerne.

Everything! From the moment we arrived and met by Patricia Everything was perfect ...the welcome and help she gave us ..all staff were welcoming breakfast fantastic and a bedroom view that put the icing on the cake ...fabulous.

everything was first class ,from finding the hotel, the checkin , room , staff food and everything else ….it was the best 3*** we have stayed in by far .

virtually nothing although a very minor point would be that the hot water in the shower was more tepid than hot
