The staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and with a nice balcony view of the city and the port. the breakfast was really good. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The bed was extremely comfortable. The lobby and the breakfast room were cozy, clean and equipped with all necessary things to have a good time. They offer access to free washing machine and clothes dryer. Watermark hotel offers a great value and I can definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kaohsiung.

Walking-distance to Gushan Ferry Pier Station (to Qi Jin island), 5-min, and to Sizihwan/Hamasen station (to City), 15-min. It is very convenient to explore Kaohsiung with public transport. Taiwanese-style breakfast is very good. Parking lot is next to the new building (碧港良居-The Harbour). It might be fully occupied in the evening, so don't drive here too late.

The room was a good size, nice bathroom with bathtub, and the view of the harbor was great. Overall service was excellent. Nice breakfast with slight variety from day to day. Appreciate that they arranged a driver to pick us up and drop us at the subway station on our arrival and departure. Very close to the ferry to Qijin Island and a stone's throw to the British Consulate.
Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper! The huge window offered a great view, but the glass is not particularly thick so the sounds of the harbor (boat horns, engines, and barking dogs) could be heard throughout the night and early morning. I got some earplugs the second night and it was okay. Mattress was very soft by Asian standards. There is a very slim selection of restaurants near the hotel, except overpriced Starbucks downstairs; you need to walk 15 minutes to the other side of the pier for much choice and those are mostly just ordinary quick food restaurants.

We arrived at night by taxi and my daughter left her cell phone in the cab. The hotel staff were able to contact the taxi company and assist to retrieve the phone. The view from the breakfast room is lovely, and the food they serve is delicious.
