Sandies Baobab Beach Zanzibar

Location, location, location! We consider that Sandies Baobab has the best beach in Nungwi, always impeccable clean, perfect spot for pictures and sunset. The property overall is extremely well maintained, at every corner you see at all times some employees working on something, the huge baobab trees are a big plus, the staff is very well trained, friendly, smiling at all times. On Saturdays, they organize a nice dinner on the beach, which we strongly recommend, the atmosphere is very romantic. The security is always on point which makes you feel safe. The food is ok, you have choices.

Every night from 21:30 until 22:30 or later there was an entertainment program at the bar/ pool area which was quite noisy considering our room was close to the it, we don’t complain about it as we liked the location of our garden room, but for some might be disturbing.

beautiful clean resort. Superior rooms are magical. The resort is very well taken care of, cleaning and care can be seen everywhere. Beautiful beach. We had All inclusive and everything we tasted was excellent. Alcoholic drinks are available from 6 p.m., beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks throughout the day.

A real luxurious stay. Beautiful room and grounds. Lovely beach with many activities and restaurants nearby. I recommend Sexy Fish for dinner. Beautiful sunsets. Tours available at the front desk. A real treat. Would recommend.

on one best of beach in Nungwi and mya be in Zanzibar. Sunset is also perfect.

Food is not value for money. I would suggest breakfeast inclueded option and eat ouside. there are very good local restaurants near by

The location is in really a good spot offering you easy access to go explore down or up the beach and choose somewhere for alternative food & drink. The tide doesn’t effect too much so you can walk and go out to see. Most evenings locals will swim or gather to the beach next to the main entrance which is nice to see but all is safe with security and they are busy in their own communities. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice. Abass the waiter was very attentive, always smiling and very friendly. A great asset to the hotel! Reception staff were great and helpful, my room was beautiful and cleaned very well. overall a great stay and happy I moved from a different hotel previously!!

Being a solo traveller not once the entertainment team told me when activities were. It was very much based on the Italian or Polish groups. Not necessarily a negative but I’d realise the activity has already started and then couldn’t join.

Having to pay for an operational wifi while we pay a consistant price for our stay here. Price of restaurant when you chose to Not suscribe to full inclusive option. Prices of Best gastronomic restaurant at Nungwi are lower So we had a bad feeling to be exploited. Not a Good picture for this nice hotel while everything else is done to make us happy. You should lower your prices and / or propose more qualitative foods for higher prices.

We loved the location, right on one of the most pristine beaches I've ever seen. Daily room cleaning, nice pool and most of all - the attitude of the staff was above average. They let us stay in the room after official check out as my daughter was sick. Also there was awesome resort doctor Edina which was a real angel when my daughter got fever, she helped us a lot.

I saw one of the managers treating his employees in a not very friendly manner during the breakfast, perhaps something to reflect on a bit.

The location was amazing, right on a very beautiful beach which felt very private, but you could still walk along the beach to reach the busier more lively parts of Nungwi beach. The staff were amazing, very friendly and made me feel at home. The best part about this hotel was by far its location on the beach.

The rooms felt quite basic and run down, I feel they need to be renovated. They didn't have a 4* feel. The bathroom mirror in my room was very rusty and the showers need to be upgraded, they look quite old. No fridge, no coffee/tea provided in rooms, no iron and no TV in the rooms which is usually standard for any other 4* hotel that I've stayed at. Breakfast was average and lacked variety, there was very little options available, I was eating the same breakfast every day. The best way to access anything is via the beach, but from the roads the hotel isn't really close to anything. Luckily I rented a car so it was easy for me to get around.

This is a beautiful hotel resort in Nungwi Zanzibar. Because of the offshore wind direction the sea is always crystal clean of seaweed. The beach boats beautiful coral reefs filled with life including pufferfish, blue surgeon fish and clownfish. Guests can enjoy organised activities at the hotel resort such as morning exercises , yoga , waterpolo and volleyball. The hotel services delicious meals three times a day . The food has a variety of European and Zanzibar cuisine choices . The restaurant is built directly on the beach so guests can have an amazing views of the sea while they eat dinner or breakfast. If you have the all inclusive package you can get tea and coffee at the pool bar free of charge as well as sodas and bottled water. The rooms provide fresh water and you can request a bar fridge from reception. The rooms are provided with air conditioning systems to keep the bedrooms cool and the rooms have an outdoor balcony with a natural bush to give guests some sort of privacy. Guests have direct access to the beach where they can enjoy activities such as swimming , horse riding , kitesurfing and scuba diving . If there is a party occurring there are pamphlets placed on the beach staircase of when and where the party will take place. The sunsets at these resorts are simply breathtaking. I would recommend this hotel to anyone .
