Khum Laanta Resort - SHA Extra Plus

Best place to stay in Koh Lanta! ♥️ Amazing value for money and the staff are just lovely! We were only going to stay one night and ended up staying 4. It’s a short 3 minute walk to the beach and close to all the best bars and restaurant on the island. I recommend going next door to the little restaurant (I think called Phong Neat) for amazing, very reasonably priced food, cooked and run by a lovely family! I will be back Khum Laanta! Thank you for making our experience in Koh Lanta one to remember ☺️

hotel area was comfortable and nice looking, clean pool, bungalows very nice. friendly staff.

bathroom was the weakest link, shower in the middle of the floor, water stayed on the floor and it was always chilly, never warm.. Locks in the door inside were poor.

Great location, very big room with a large private outdoor space facing the pool with two chairs and a table. A perfect spot to relax. The swimming pool is big enough to do some lengths if you are a swimmer. It has plenty of space to lounge around: chairs and other comfortable beanbags… The hotel is close to the very big beach and the many bars on the beach offering happy hours cocktails. There is also a nearby 7-11 and lots of very good restaurants. They clean and refresh the rooms everyday, giving water bottles and paper daily. Staff is friendly and you can rent scooters or organise trips or buses from there too. Really nice relaxing place. We liked it so much we decided to stay few more days for a total of 7 nights. Totally worth it.

They don’t use chlorine in the pool. The water tastes vile if you swim with your head under water, but only my views. But then the beach is just 200m away!

Very friendly staff. Amazing position, not beachside but a 30m walk to the beachfront. Away from the road, so no noise. Close to loads of shops and bars. Perfect area, not too busy but not isolated. The beach is great too, much less populated than some of the more ‘cool’ spots. The Meeting Point bar is the perfect sundown location. Real paradise vibe.

Only downside is that the fridge is turned off when the key is removed from the holder in the room when leaving, so hard to keep drinks cold for when you return……not a deal breaker though!

The pool was great! Nice and clean. The room was spacious, and the AC was cold! The TV only had thai speaking channels, so I watched YouTube on my laptop. The wifi was good on the laptop, but not strong enough to keep my phone connected to it for some reason. I had to keep connecting it over and over if I was in the room. Worked fine on the balcony. The beach is a bit of a walk and it's not good for swimming. There was an abundance of shells and sea glass to pick up, though!

When I arrived, I had arranged for pick up at the docks from the hotel. The boat arrived early, and I was going to wait for the pick-up. There were two individuals down there who said my ride was not coming and then insisted I pay them to get me there. That's a scam. The hotel shuttle was on the way. Trust the hotel pick up! They will be there to get you!

We booked last-minute and got the very last bungalow in row which was more spacious than other ones. Meaning we were closest house to the way to the beach. Bed was very comfy and bathroom was pretty. Swimming pool was lovely. Staff super friendly. Very nice restaurants just across the street. We would definitely come back again!

A/C hardly to be controlled. There was some animal living under the roof that woke us up in the middle of the night by "dancing" above our heads.

Absolutely loved this place. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and really made our trip one to remember. We went in the low season, but the hotel had a lovely pool outside of the room so on the day's when the weather wasn't great it was perfect for relaxing. On the last day we got got lucky, and they organised a fantastic day trip for us. They had laundry and motorcycle's for hire at a great price, and arranged our transfer to the airport the following morning. Absolutely loved Koh Lanta, and I'll definitely be going back in the high season, and I'm pretty sure I'll be staying here. Lovely 😍

The Resort has big rooms and a/c. Beach is in 2 min walking. There was planty restauransta in the neighberhood. Just as massage oportunities. Small familily run shop is just 10 meters away, where you could buy your drinks, chips, etc… The Lady at the recepcion is amazing. Helps you with everything, Nike, car rentals, day trips…

Wi-fi signal in our room was weak and droped connection offen. When the door was open it was better.

We loved our stay here!! Eing is a fantastic host and a credit to the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was amazing, super clean and comfortable. The little kitchen in our room was a huge bonus which we wasn’t expecting! The location is in a really good area of the beach with no rocks and lots of beach bars to choose from. Make sure you check out the frog pond by the pool in the evening it’s very entertaining hearing them all sing!

no access to the beach, you have to walk through the hotel next door, only 5 minute walk so not really an issue. the pool only has chairs no beds.

Great sized room for a family, nice pool area and close to the beach, bars and restaurants. Good value for money. The laundry service (per kg wash and fold) was the best we found on our travels in Thailand. We also had excellent massages at “I am” right across the road.

The accommodations are older style and a little dark and basic - but a good quality/ cost ratio and a comfortable place to sleep.
