Location, cleanliness, pool, pool side bar, and bar staff with good food menu. Good size room with plenty of light. Really enjoyed. Cleaners did a great job with the room.

Arrived after 24 hours travelling and the duty manager was very rude. She told us if we were not happy with the room allocated , we can go and find another hotel! We had booked a pool view room and were not given it on checking in. The air conditioning unit did not work fully, only a trickle of cold air. The engineer attempted to fix it but didn't. The shower was in the bath, and seperate hot and cold taps, getting the correct water temp was difficult. A walk-in shower would be better with mixer taps.

This is my third stay at Areca Lodge. I will keep coming back because it’s a great package at a great price; most of all, however, it’s the people. I could commend all the staff, but two people in particular stand out on this occasion: 1. Narnia who is an absolute delight to know at reception. Thoroughly polite, efficient, charming, and ... well, a beautiful young lady; and 2. Bo, the very hard-working, totally professional, and completely honest cleaner who found my wallet and immediately notified reception. Such honesty is not always the case. What another beautiful woman that Areca Lodge has employed. Beautiful in every way! There is a third person who helped me from the reception desk, but unfortunately i can’t bring his name to mind. THANK YOU, Areca. As Arnold Schwarrzenagger said: “I’ll be back”.

gym is old and terrible wifi is incredibly poor. I won’t stay here again because of the poor wifi location is great….but also means you can hear noise until 2:00am

We have just returned from spending 10nights at the areca, this hotel is all about location the hotel itself is of a good standard and presently undergoing some refurbishment, maining one of the pools was closed We stayed in a large family room in the evergreen block, room was really spacious, cleaned daily with free bottles of water fridge and safe. Even being sighted in a busy LK metro area of pattaya the room was very quiet. My only issue with the room was the shower in the bath, as the bath side was 3ft high and a ledge of about 3/4ft to step over, I do personal prefer a walk in shower and was made aware the some of the rooms in the 1st block have these. Daily breakfast was good with enough choice, we had a few meals at the hotel quality,service and prices good. pool area was nice , plenty of beds and service at pool good, all staff polite,friendly and helpful We will be booking again next year, but will be requesting a room with a walk in shower

In the heart of the action of Soi Buakhow/LK Metro/Treetown. Very good breakfast, on site poolbar that actually is open, unlike many other hotels.

The Corona-building cries for an upgrade to bring it to 21st century standards, ie shower instead of bathtub, keycard instead of key, replacement of seriously corroded fridge and last but not least, replace the very noisy airconditioning unit.

I liked the new renovated room in the Areca building (the main building). The room was comfortable and clean. The mini bar was a fridge, which was convenient. The breakfast was good, although it lacked variety from day to day. The location is very good, close to a major nightlife area. To my surprise, the room was very quiet at night, I was expecting it to be noisy, lol.

Room was large, nice large comfortable bed, good pool view. location was good very central easy to get around. Plenty of poolloungers and towels. Staff were always polite and helpful.

The bathroom needed a refurb as cracked tiling to showers head which was loose and leaking, also bath taps leaky. Balcony very small and noisy as air con unit bolted to floor of balcony, and only 1 chair on a double room.

Great location in walking distance to everything, friendly stuff, nice rooms and pool area.

Communicated by the Hotel before, so absolutely OK: there is ongoing renovation-work (to see this positive so: sure there will be new nice rooms for the high-season)

good location and quiet, pleasant surroundings

only gripe was request for late check out could not be granted resulting in 7 hr wait at the airport, and on the morning of checkout the telephone system was not working resulting in me having to trek from Evergreen to reception to speak with anyone
