The Malika Hotel - SHA Extra Plus

The room was large and airy,the bed was extra large and very comfy we had a large balcony overlooking the lovely pool area which was well maintained,the bathroom was very clean and modern fixtures.The hotel don't do any catering services but provide free of charge toast coffe/tea and banana in the morning.The stairs can be quite steep and we thought a handrail would be useful,the location is quiet but a bit of a walk to the old town..around 25/30 minutes (were not young)we also didn't find many restaurants close by.All in all we had a lovely stay and would recommend Maliki hotel.

The Malika is a 30 room hotel with large comfortable rooms, a huge swimming pool that gets sun most of the day and lovely, helpful staff. The location is nice and quiet, in a residential neighbourhood, away from Old Town, which is only a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride away. There are a number of small local restaurants nearby and a grocery store and night market all within a 15 minute walk. The staff are extremely helpful and very kind. We had a ground floor room with easy access to the pool.

It didn’t bother us, but there is a school behind the hotel that plays the Thai national anthem at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. every week day.

The room was spacious and clean. The lady at reception helped me with carrying my luggage to my room. The hotel is not too far from old town. There is a nice pool.

They charged me before my arrival as if they were in a hurry to secure the business. I felt it was not good value for money after trying several other hotels before them. The 2 star hotel in Phuket was better. They have no lift. So I had to carry luggage to the 3rd floor. They have no breakfast options and there was no cafes or restaurants around either. The hotel is in a location close to a residential area and a school (get ready to be awaken at 8 am by a sudden loud music and announcements).

Nice room, fridge, kettle ,tea ,coffee etc , clean, nice pool . Seating area outside room. Quiet location .easy 5 min walk to friendly local restaurants by bridge . 15 min walk to old town on busy roads . Quieter by the river. Staff friendly and helpful. Toast ,tea and coffee available for breakfast in open reception area with fan - pleasant place to sit.

Walking along busy roads to old town - could be difficult to cross. Much better walking by river.

Nice hotel, our rooms were not next to each other, but small hotel and on the same floor. Provided toast (and coffee) for breakfast. There was a small beverage and snack station with additional items for sale. Rooms clean, comfortable and bright; and all had balcony/patio. Quiet area. There is a fire station across the street, but heard the anthem once the last day of our stay. Only 15-20 min walk to Old Phuket, also Central Phuket Mall is a short drive. Ample parking available. Safe box in room, quite small (not for laptops). If you want to see elephants - please choose carefully. Many elephants are on leg chains and can not move around, just so people can take photos with them. Bukit Elephant Sanctuary is one place to consider where the animals seem to be treated humanely. Many boat trips to choose from - James Bond Island tour is an excellent choice (Khao Phing Kan/Ko Tapu island).

Some of our grab deliveries and drivers struggled a bit to find it - drive down small marked access road to open lot of a hotel, but then need to turn right to enter a second parking lot for Malika. Might benefit from a second sign indicating where to access hotel lobby.

Good location near the old town. Quiet area. Great staff.

Located down an alleyway from the street which creates a quiet vibe at the Malika. The rooms are spacious and beds are extremely comfortable. We had a pool access room which was an added bonus to wake and have a swim. Who needs to be close to the beach when you have a pool like to this in such a quiet and relaxing area. Staff are friendly and the rooms are cleaned very well each day. A thank you to the cleaning staff. Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Phuket Town.

Friendly staff, nice bedroom and facilities, we got a room in front of the swimming, which was very nice.

The location that Google maps take the Grab drivers most of the times send them to the back entrance, where the gate is closed, and we need to call reception to open or they could only go up to the fire station, so it was a bit difficult sometimes to explain them the other way around or we needed to walk ourselves extra 10 minutes. I would suggest if the hotel could check that to avoid issues in the future.

Room was nice and had an amazing shower (it just worked and was so convenient). Staff was also super friendly and helpful and accommodating in every way. I loved how the reception was in an open area right in front of the rooms where you stayed, and also right alongside the parking. The convenience level of this hotel was top-notch.

Phuket is a great place no matter where you go but the location was a bit secluded frankly. Also, not to take away from how awesome the facilities were but the bathroom had a scary little spider in it which did put me off a little (I'm put off by spiders in general). The water they provided for free to drink also made my throat go sore for a couple of days but these are just small things and the hotel is still awesome.

Not big, but very nice pool area, and I liked the pool itself, staff cleaned it every night! there is common area at the reception. Free bananas, toasts&jam, coffee in the morning - for me it was enough for breakfast :) Staff super nice, helped me to figure out a question with bus tickets, and when I forgot something in the room, they kept it until I came back for it. I liked how room design looked, simple , but with some style. Hotel is a bit off the road, so you do not hear bikes broom-broom from the sunrise. Supermarkets, 7/11 and cafes in walking distance. Bus terminal 1 and the pier not too far. Good hotel to stop over

the design of the rooms is pretty, but not enough place to keep clothes and etc. Big wardrobe with almost no shelves and just a few hangers. Aircon winds directly to beds, maybe for somebody it is not a problem, but I don’t like it. Though, it is a common problem of the majority of Phuket hotels
