If you are after Late after hours drinking then this Pub is not the place for you, BUT, if you want a great nights sleep, VERY friendly staff and clean rooms and of course fantastic food then this is the place for you. ALL Staff were very friendly, nothing was too much bother, we ate in the Restaurant both nights of our stay, could not ask for anything better, reasonably priced and actually very tasty ! There were families staying there, no bother to us or the Staff, Great ! 20 minute walk to Pier , good walk after eating big meals worked wanders. Car Parking was great , plenty of room. Just on the mile to walk to the Transport Festival field so no big deal. Put it like this we would stay there again, maybe if they had stayed open just a little later at night , our room was actually above the bar, No Noise, only me snoring, apparently ! All in all JW Lees have got it right 👍

Wouldn’t have minded a couple of late drinks but no bother just worked around it. Nothing to dislike.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful old building. Great location on the outskirts of Llandudno; 10 minute walk into town. Free on site parking, great bar and restaurant. Food well cooked and nicely presented. Excellent Welsh breakfast. Lovely staff. We were allowed to check in slightly early which was a nice bonus, thank you. Large room and bathroom, spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

Rattling windows depending on wind direction but that's to be expected in a historical building. Solved with a little cardboard wedge :-)

Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. We had a family room and only 1 fan. We asked for another and it came to our room within 5 minutes. Rooms were large. Plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space although could do with a few more hangers. The 2nd floor room was a hard climb with luggage, however it was because it is a grade 2 listed building so aren't able to install a lift or air con, hence the fan. Breakfast was outstanding and lots of choice. Traditional English breakfast was very nice. Tea, coffee and juices were readily available, also cereal. Close to a big retail park and Asda was right behind the property. Shower was nice. Toiletries were a nice touch. Tea bags, coffee and milk was re-stocked every day. They also put hot chocolate and 4 mini packets of a selection of cookies/biscuits and these were re-stocked day. These were a very welcome snack for the kids especially.

More hangers in wardrobe. A lot of our clothes had to be ironed before we could wear them.

January 2023

I stayed in room 108 on 10th January 2023. I checked in online and paid on arrival. The room rate in January was very reasonable. I booked with booking.com and I received a 10% discount, because I'm at Genius level 2 apparently (Who knew that?). Car parking is excellent, with plenty of space. My room was comfortable and well-equipped. Good selection of tea/coffee etc and local Decantae water, which I like. I didn't like the single-use toiletries, too much throwaway plastic. The bathroom was down a flight of five steps, well-lit with good handrails. I had a tasty cod and chips in the Hotel restaurant. Friendly service and quick. I love Llandudno. Gwesty Links is a five-minute brisk walk from the town centre. The hotel is on a busy roundabout, with midweek traffic noise in my room from 6am. Other rooms may be quieter. Breakfast was OK, good choice of cereals, juice and yogurt. I would have liked a menu card and more choice of fruit and maybe better quality toast and more of it. I was down early. The restaurant was quiet and I wasn't offered more toast or coffee. Checkout was easy. Happy to recommend Gwesty Links.

Really homely and great combination of pub, restaurant, and hotel. Room 107 faced housing and main road but not overlooked or noisy. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. The bedroom was well appointed with USB outlets on bedside sockets, tea, coffee, and biscuits. I didn't use the TV but it was well positioned and large enough. Didn't use wifi either as my Three mobile had good reception. Tuesday is pie and pint offer and I enjoyed the JW Lees steak pie, mash and peas. Cooked breakfast (cold also available) was really tasty and all staff friendly. Plenty of space in well-lit car park.

Nothing to dislike and pushing it to say the breakfast tea only had one bag in the pot, but I could have asked for another.

The parking was very good. The food was excellent. The staff were obviously working long hours. I was called pal a lot by a male member of staff. It annoyed me to begin with. But actually the chap was very pleasant. So it wasn't really an issue. I would stay again.

The bathroom was cold and the toilet made intermittent noises. Once the bathroom door was shut it couldn't be heard. The door opening card kept failing to work. I had to make several visits to reception to get it reprogrammed. And no it was not placed near a mobile phone. Not major issues. It is a good place to stay.

Our stay was to attend a Funeral of a very close friend and the Wake was hosted by the Hotel. In vey nice comfortable surrounding we enjoyed an afternoon reminiscing and remembering our friend whilst enjoying a few drinks and giving him a good "send off". The hotel was the perfect setting with staff and management being sympathetic to the whole party.

Couldn't find much to complain about really - Breakfast was superb and the Hotel was comfortable. I may not be completely correct but I wasn't aware of any lifts in the building so a few flights of stairs may be an issue for elderly or disabled visitors. However I would check this out as I may have just missed the facility
