Laura and Pete made us feel very welcome; marking our arrival with a cup of tea. Throughout our stay we were looked after and the atmosphere of the stay was a perfect balance of privacy and conviviality. The breakfasts are excellent; delicious and thoughtfully provided. We would highly reccomend them to anyone wishing for a peaceful stay in a lovely house and setting, close to a beautiful beach.

Our car broke down. Because of delays from the RAC we had to leave Pete and Laura to liase with the RAC and get a hired car back. This is only to say 'thank you' to Pete and Laura, and no thank you to the RAC who were not helpful. One other thing; make sure you have your dinner early, because places close early.

Can only echo the positive comments of other reviews - this is an immaculate B&B with extremely friendly hosts, a delicious breakfast and super comfortable rooms. Very quiet at night, couldn't hear other guests or disturbances in the house despite it being an older property. The bed was so comfortable, with exceptionally high quality, soft bedding. The hosts make a superb effort with breakfast, with locally and ethically sourced produce and homemade veggie sausages and baked beans that we loved. Even better that it was dog friendly! We were there to walk on the coastal trail and the location for this was amazing.

Not a criticism of this b&b at all but evening food options in freshwater east are pretty basic - a short drive away is the Stackpole Inn which has a much higher quality offering.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Laura & Pete. The Burrows has a very warm and friendly atmosphere, The room was immaculate and thoughtfully decorated with a sea view. The gardens are stunning, along with the setting. The breakfast was excellent, with all locally sourced produce you could tell a lot of thought had gone into it and it was cooked to perfection by Pete. A great selection on the breakfast, by far the best B&B we have stayed in . Would 100% recommend it, and we will definitely return.

Nothing, all bang on

Excellent breakfast. We chose poached eggs that were perfectly cooked as part the full English breakfast on offer. Very well decorated old property with a lovely garden that guests can use. Plenty of free parking space in grounds of property. It is located close to Pembroke with its amazing castle, the Pembrokeshire coastal footpath and very many beaches. Lots of interesting places to visit in the area. A modern pub with garden overlooking the sea is within a short walking distance of the house. Lamphey with its pubs serving good meals, and Bishop's Palace ruins is within a few minutes journey by car. The hosts have a good display of tourist information and made helpful suggestions of places to visit. Thank you Laura and Pete!

Waiting for hot water to get to the shower! It takes a bit longer than expected and so a little patience is needed. I felt rather guilty that the cold water running through was going to waste during a drought period!

The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was a bright, modern sea view room with plenty of space for the two of us and our small dog to stay. The breakfast had a wide range of options and was all freshly cooked. There was a good amount of brochures on what to do in the local area along with recommendations which was really helpful. It was really hot during our stay and we took a fan (thankfully!) - I'd recommend packing one if you're going in summer.

The B&B was dog friendly although felt slightly unprepared. We we're in a room with white fluffy carpet, which was beautiful but no dog matt or protector was down for the food/water bowl. Luckily we brought one with us and was able to put it in the ensuite. There was a small shared fridge downstairs which was great, but we would have massively benefited from having our own small fridge in our room perhaps, especially for the fresh dog food. Dogs are usually asked to wait in the car during breakfast, but due to the heat, ours was allowed in with us. If we were asked to leave him in the car, we wouldn't have stayed for breakfast so we were grateful that they were accommodating with this.

Having taken an extensive trip to Wales, England and Scotland, Pat, my husband, and I stayed in several bed and breakfasts and hotels. Of all the places we have stayed in both the United States where we are from, and the United Kingdom, The Burrows in Pembroke, Wales was our favorite. It had a beautiful welcoming yard with lovely flowers and plants, benches and a picnic table and was within walking distance to the sea. The Burrows was meticulously and beautifully renovated to reflect the period when it was built (dating back to the 1750s). It had both exquisite and elegant decor but was also extremely clean, comfortable and met all our needs and wants. Laura and Pete, the owners were warm, gracious and welcoming. We loved our delicious English breakfast complete with generous choices and helpings including French Press coffee, homemade granola and yogurt and handmade butter curls to name a few items, served in a beautiful breakfast room. Our only regret was that we had to leave and could not stay longer.

Pete and Laura made us very welcome. This b and b has a great position being close to Tenby and Pembroke. Great beaches close by. Quiet location which is great for getting a good nights sleep. The breakfast was first class with choice of cereal and one of the best cooked breakfasts we have ever had. We didnt want to leave. Our Siberean husky enjoyed her stay too and settled in very well. We will be making a return visit.

A superb B&B located in a stunning part of Wales. Laura & Pete were fantastic hosts, giving us plenty of information about the local area and serving up an awesome breakfast - the Glamorgan sausage, home-made beans and fruit compote in particular were delicious! Our room was extremely comfortable and it had all the amenities you need, having clearly been recently renovated. The bed was comfier than most hotels I've ever stayed in. It's just a shame we didn't have an extra day there really. Overall I couldn't recommend The Burrows more highly.

The shower took a little while to warm up and we lost pressure very briefly at one point, but I think this is simply due to the actual building and/or pipes being quite old. The bathroom and shower itself are extremely modern so this was a very very minor point on what was a really lovely stay.

We could not fault our 3 night stay at this lovely Bed & Breakfast, where everything was to a very high standard. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were offered freshly brewed coffee and a slice of fruit loaf. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, well-designed and well-appointed - little things such as plenty of coat hangers/storage space for clothes, a decent hairdryer and a dressing table with mirror, good lighting and plug socket close by make a big difference (often lacking in hotel rooms). The mattress, pillows, bed linen & towels were all of very good quality, the shower hot & powerful, and the underfloor heating in the en suite very welcome! Breakfast each morning was delicious, with many things homemade/using local produce and all cooked freshly to order. Laura & Pete were both very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We'd definitely recommend The Burrows for anyone wanting to stay in this area.

We have just got home from our short break and we had such a great time at The Burrows. Laura is so lovely and accommodating and really made us feel at home! I had requested a vegan breakfast and Laura had bought vegan sausages, butter and milk for me, it was very considerate and something that doesn't happen very often when we go away! We were even treated to homemade pancakes on our last day! The B&B itself is wonderfully cosy, our room was bright, fresh and clean with a beautiful view of the ocean and heated flooring in the bathroom (a treat after the cold weather!). We felt very safe here and would 100% come again.

Honestly, nothing.
