Breakfast was brilliant,Plenty of choice and cooked to perfection

Shower was near impossible to operate

It's been a good few years since I returned to the area where I spent my youth ! The hotel I think was recently revamped , The hotel was nice , staff kind , considerate and helpful , we did decide to walk down to Saundersfoot which was great idea going down , after beach a beer , walking back bit lumpy! But classic Welsh people / hospitality a kind lady stopped and offered us a lift. We had family arrived for dinner restaurant was excellent , highly recommended, likewise the breakfast was good , only thing I would like improving is the cappuccino, as a addicted pseudo expert , there's nothing like a good cappuccino to start your day !

The staff were very welcoming. Sue on reception was extremely friendly and helpful with information to do with the Ironman event, which is why we were in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the restaurant, where the staff were also excellent.( It was the best Thai curry I have had). (Sadly, we only had time for a main meal. So no starter or dessert!) The full menu looked excellent.

A fellow guest had a large dog who was allowed by the owner and staff to wander around the breakfast area. The cooked breakfast was OK, but not as enjoyable as the evening meal. ( it could be that I made a wrong choice )

Without doubt the staff here were brilliant! Although we only stayed one night, the service and friendliness we encountered was absolutely amazing, from reception to catering staff. You can tell that this is a pretty happy crew. The rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. The wife made positive comment about the bed,…. which is rare as a comfortable nights sleep often alludes her. Water pressure for the shower was really good too. The included breakfast was well proportioned, served hot and very tasty. The kids loved the pancakes. Compliments must go to the kitchen staff. It was nice to see that pets were welcome, having their own areas to ensure that all guests (dog lovers and others) were comfortable. A nice inclusive touch that was still respectful of others who don’t wish to mingle. The well appointed, comfortable communal lounge off the dining room was a pleasant surprise as well. If visiting Tenby you must stay at The Imperial Dragon as it’s only 3 quick miles / 5 minutes down the road. No,… unfortunately for me there is no benefits for providing this review, other than to acknowledge a job well done. The owner/s should be very proud of the staff.

I struggle to think,…..????? Nothing really.

The communication with the staff was excellent, both before and during our stay. They did their very best to meet our many needs, as we had our elderly parents with us and a dog. Lokky’s restaurant, which we dined at on our final evening, is attached to the hotel and served absolutely delicious food. The staff were very welcoming and made the family birthday event feel very special for our group of twelve.

The disabled parking space could do with more safe space around it to enable the car doors to be fully opened.

It was so peaceful an relaxing , the staff was so friendly couldn’t do enough for you. We were lucky we had lush weather for the week Tenby was 10 minutes down the road by, saundersfoot  was 5 minutes up the by car couldn’t ask for more👍

The only thing I didn’t like an it’s a very small thing is that I’m a early bird in the mornings an I couldn’t get a coffee I no I had it in the room but when the other half was sleeping at 5.30am I. The morning she kill me switching the kettle on.

The location is perfectly suited to explore the coastal towns and villages and spend the days at the beach. Few minutes' drive from both Suandersfoot and Tenby. The breakfast is exceptional, cooked fresh in the morning plus a wide selection of other options such as cereal and juice. It really set us up for the day of walking/swimming etc.

Nothing we can fault at all. The room was warm on the night due to the weather, but called reception who supplied a fan without any bother. Very much appreciated. The whole family liked the hotel very much.

We stayed in room 1 which was right next to the restaurant I thought this might be noisy but we couldn't hear anything at all. The room was spacious with a large wet room

Disappointed with the food in restaurant I ordered a curry was told it was mild but was so hot it literally burned my mouth. When I told waitress she said "oh I'll check whether chef put extra spices in " she didnt return with any answer and I wasnt offered an alternative. To add to that my breakfast was terrible the next day I asked for poached eggs and they were hard boiled with burnt bacon . By the time I received another breakfast my husband had finished his . Not great

Everything was excellent. We were late to arrive but the hotel did call us and informed to check via the restaurant. This was excellent and the restaurant staff handled our check in superbly. Family Room was HUGE!! Plenty space and bathroom big as well. Breakfast decent choice. One niggle only. Overall excellent base to be in. If we return to the area we will stay here again!

Poached eggs at breakfast need to be runny not hard. Happened on both days we there. Only negative I have overall.
