Beagle Motel

Comfortable bed, good shower and nice soaps. Very clean. Nice touch with jug of cold water in fridge. Good air con. Plenty of electricity sockets. Well located 5 minute walk to Woolworths and petrol. Limited menu in restaurant but huge portions of food. The potato wedges were absolutely fantastic (could have fed four with one bowl!). There were lovely tropical plants lining the site making it feel green and welcoming. I would return without hesitation.

Only request would be a bedside table lamp.

Convenient parking. All ground floor rooms. Nice outdoor seating area for a casual drink after work.

Tiled floor in room was dirty/oily. Feet became dirty just walking around a few time. Ended up moving around on the bathroom mat after a shower. Old fashioned shower head uses a lot of water hence hot doesn’t go very far (along with very low pressure) in the morning when everyone is using it.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

When I arrived, after ringing the previous day to confirm my arrival, I was told my booking had been cancelled. They were completely booked out so I couldn't stay there. I don't know if Booking.com was responsible for this; whether I did something wrong in the process, although I received more than one email confirmation from booking.com and from the motel. They rang around to other motels for me and I got the second last available room in the whole town. Happy ending, but very unhappy process. I probably won't use booking.com again.

I was solo traveling by Greyhound bus in the off season and decided to stay in Katherine for two nights to see the Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge. The motel was clean, the room had all you need and their restaurant tasty with big portions. I liked refreshing myself in the pool outside. The staff and owner were super helpful and friendly and even drove me to the hot springs and allowed me to stay in the room until the Greyhound bus arrived. Highly recommend!

The Room, though fairly basic, was clean and comfortable. The Receptionist was excellent and went above and beyond to assist us with extension cords to enable us to power our CPAP machines as there were no power points beside or behind the bed. She also able to provide advice and directions on where to head for a good meal. We enjoyed a good nights rest.

On arrival to our room it was disappointing to find 2 guests smoking under the verandah near our room in an area clearly marked as no-smoking. Consequently we had cigarette smoke lingering in our room for hours after bringing in our luggage.. The rooms are in need of an update for entertainment and the window was unable to be locked. Onsite Dining not available at the time of our stay.

The owners Nicole snd Sam. The receptionists Elizabeth and Mac- were extremely helpful. Nicole upgraded me to a better room due to a minor hiccup in the initial one and also have me s free night seeing I was stuck in Katherine due to flooded roads. I wish them all the best on their new venture

I was visiting Katherine for work and my usual accommodation was unavailable due to the Katherine Show being that weekend my trip was last minute. I had the pleasure of staying at the Beagle and met Alan and the team. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and loved a good chat. Would recommend 10/10. Thanks team.

The room itself was comfortable and clean - the only 'issue' was the shower head was leaking. I'm sure the team will fix it up in no-time.

We booked in January 2022 and obviously prices must have been a bit higher. We had friends book in June and they got a cheaper rate. We didn't mind, wrote it off to pandemic first world problems, but they actually matched the price without us even mentioning it, incredibly fair and generous of them as we didn't expect it especially after the last few years all motels have been through. Very honest and fair people. That's got to worth gold these days. Thank you so much.

Pool was great, everything was clean in the room. Very helpful personnel. I forgot my powerbank in the room after checkout cleaning lady came to bring it to me before I left the premises. The reception had this very sweet and kind woman whom was very helpful and nice!

I would have liked a little more water pressure in the shower but was still very acceptable

Room was clean and gardens well tended and tidy. Comfortable bed and good shower. Good to see no small plastic bottles in use. Staff keep a very good eye on things and property felt secure. Owners are trying hard.

The sooner carpets are phased out the better! Replacing pillows so they do not stink of last bloke is important.
