Perfect location, wonderful 2 Bed apartment. Comfy bed.

Facilities needed maintenance towel rail, curtains, etc.

Great location, close to transport, shopping and sights. Very reasonable price for a spacious family apartment with everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. Beautiful historical building and friendly staff, who were super helpful from first booking to end of stay.

View onto a concrete wall from our room wasn’t so inspiring and the showers and window furnishings could have done with a good clean for dust and mould, but the beds were fresh and comfortable, and everything was generally clean for holiday use. The roof top garden and spa were closed when we stayed, which meant we couldn’t enjoy the city views.

Loved the soft comfortable beds. The decor in my appartment was lovely. Heaps of crockery and a great kitchen. A quite room, close to the lifts. Wonderful Art Deco lifts and foyer. Close to the main CBD and close to other areas with a short taxi ride, Taxi call conveniently located near reception.The facilities were good, stove top worked well, I didn't use the washing machine or dishwasher , but was thankful they were avaliable. Staff were lovely. Very kindly stored our luggage after check-out, until the uber came to take us to the airport.

I got the very last appartment for our stay, the room was a little outdated- peeling paintwork above the shower needed redoing, damp sticky carpet inside the door- not sure if it was caused by the air conditioner/or a past spilt drink. There was an old frozen drink in the freezer- needed defrosting,( the main part of the fridge was very clean) the range-hood was very greasy. But mostly the facilities were great.

Great position with short walk to central station, Queen st mall and a manageable walk to Southbank. Quiet rooms with well appointed kitchen. Staff member was super helpful and approachable and really made our stay a lot easier then it may otherwise have been - thankyou!!!. Older style apartment but it was comfortable. Shower pressure great and beds comfortable.

Window furnishings are broken/old and didn't really keep out the light but our kids are up early anyway so didn't bother us too much.

Location is fantastic. The living area is very roomy. Gorgeous old building. The lady on the desk was very friendly. Clean sheets!

WiFi is no good. Air conditioning ducts rattling - someone has previously put a folded up piece of cardboard in the main one to stop it. I told the lady on the desk that kettle was rusting from the inside and should not be used. She was not able to get a new one or borrow one - so no cups of tea or coffee for us. You can hear the trains at night - I’m a city girl so didn’t bother me! Shower needs a spray with Exit Mould.

The building is 1930s and has lovely foyer , lifts and passage ways of that era. Lovely bedroom and lounge area with everything needed in kitchen. Excellent bed, so comfortable. Room was very quiet, could hear the train toots from 5am but got use to it. very central to Queen St, the river, train station, Fortitude Valley. Recommend eating at Grand Central Hotel across the road at the train station, large meals. Would stay here again next visit.

The location and price are amazing It was really nice to have an apartment so my mom and I had a place to crash in between our touristing. The interior of the hotel was also super cute! Lots of metal filigree and ornate elevators and such. A great option for a budget friendly but still lovely spot.

The internet was really quite bad and it made it impossible to watch Netflix at night or even update emails very successfully. The couch was also quite hard but was fine.

Comfortable the rooms are a bit tired.

stayed for 5 nights had to ask for more toilet paper and dishwashing detergent and bins weren`t emptied at all so rubbish piled up a bit. Didn`t realise that there was no room service for the whole stay eg fresh towels/tea/coffee not replaced

Design and atmosphere, not to mention a great central location. Tasteful decor & decent size rooms. Loved the beautiful lifts. Staff were very obliging and kindly allowed an early check in on a miserable day.

The kitchen cabinet door was broken & required attention…. sadly this fact was “covered up”. Apparently the hotel was fully booked so l could not have been moved to another room. I had requested an accessible room …. but had to “make do”

We liked that it was a heritage building and we liked that we had a lovely apartment. Overall we enjoyed our two night stay at the Rothbury Hotel. It was very convenient as it wasn’t far to walk anywhere, especially to and from Central Railway Station as we’d caught the train to Brisbane.

We were surprised that the hotel was unstaffed on the weekend. There was a single sofa chair that had 3 wobbly legs and I discovered that when I sat on it to put my shoes on. We did leave a warning note on it. Also I noticed some old stains on our bed quilt.
