Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore

Loved the size of the apartment, the kitchen was well-equipped, bed was very soft, and a gorgeous view through the palms of the beach below. Great to have two bathrooms and internal laundry facilities.

We were aware of the stairs beforehand and almost every accommodation at Palm Cove is stairs only …. but man….. that was a lot of stairs!!! Also, due to the damage to reception, the office is being run out of an apartment - may I recommend some laminated signs to help guests locate it since it is tucked away. Other than that, we could have stayed another week! If guests are sensitive to light at nighttime I highly recommend an eye mask as it’s quite bright through the blinds in the bedroom.

The location is stunning, the hotel and grounds beautifully maintained. The staff are exceptionally attentive and will do anything to help. Lovely touch the glass of champagne on arrival. Our Suite (33) on the second level was stunning. We also loved the adults only pool. Been stung by 'unsupervised' children at a number of top hotels!

Only a small thing but maybe an brochure to the suite - how to use the appliances - it was a bit hit or miss to start with - but we worked it out and eventually found some manuals in a bottom draw. Fortunately these days you can just look things up on line!

The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and exceptionally well laid out. We a beach side view and more than enough room. Close to everything yet tucked away at one end of the main strip. The staff were excellent and we have stayed in a few places over the years at Palm Cove but this was by far the best

There was not a thing we did not like about the property. It might be a bit more expensive but you well and truly get what you pay for.

The hotel staff very flexible, accomodating and empathic to unforeseen changes. The hotel location is in the quieter part of Palm Cove and the view is absolute paradise!!! Apartment is cleaning thoroughly and is spotless

Although bathrooms are okay, some improvements could be made to shower pressure or even upgrades to the bath tub. Would definitely enhance the experience of a luxury resort.

Poolside and room service menu were very much lacking sadly Wish the adults only pool was heated as it can get chilly beachside NuNu restaurant was a huge disappointment. One hour into breakfast and most items were unavailable. Took an hour to get 2 coffees and a banana bread. The staff had no interest in checking to see if we needed any help with the menu or wanted anything else. Completely uninterested. Being an onsite restaurant attached to a 5 star hotel the experience detracts from an otherwise fantastic stay

The Alamanda was in a wonderful location in Palm Cove. A 30 mins drive North if Carins. It is an upmarket resort but well worth the money spent for our holiday. It is a lovely area with lots of restaurants & cafes to eat at whilst up in this area. The beach a Palm Cove was lovely to visit for sunrise and take a walk along to the jetty.

The pillows were too soft.

Swimming pools were great although the main one advertised was closed for repairs without any warning.

Communication. There was a lack of comms on the closure of some facilities but also a fire alarm on one night which resulted in everyone being evacuated. Nobody new what was going on and if there had have been a real emergency, I would be worried for my safety.

Plenty of space in our unit for two people. Loved the private outdoor space. Had an issue with our room keys in our last night and staff were very helpful and quick to solve the problem.

The couch and single chairs in the living room are not very comfortable. The long built in couch was awkward for watching tv and the single chairs were stiff and not relaxing.

The reception staff - particularly Joanna and Renee went above and beyond to assist me with room organisation and configuration of guests. Their patience and willingness to assist contributed to the smooth check in of my 10 guests and their subsequent fantastic stay at Alamanda. I’m so very grateful for their friendly warm and kind service. Much appreciation.

The staff are amazing! Loved the location to the beach and Palm Cove is stunning, eating out very expensive, lovely gardens, a little tired looking at the adult pool where you can see a lot of rust on the spa building, peaceful. We had one issue and the staff sorted the problem and couldn’t do enough to assist. Excellent.

Lots of stairs when we stayed at the pool view room, top floor, no lift. The lounge chairs on the balcony were very uncomfortable.
