Central Plaza Port Douglas

The size, the decoration and facilities were very good. Spacious and comfortable. Very nice to have a washing machine and a dryer available. Enjoyed the bubble bath 😊 We had a really nice time!

I think it could have been cleaned a bit better before we came in. Some of the lights in various rooms are a little on the very white/bright side. I can understand that in a kitchen, but not in the Living area or at the dinner table. There I would prefer some warmer lights. This is not meant as criticism, but merely as suggestions!

Apartment was clean, pool was great and very close to town. They also had a high chair for our baby which was extremely helpful.

Overall it was excellent. The only thing that would have made our trip a tiny bit better was having access to the second bathroom in the apartment which was locked (along with the 2nd bedroom) as we had only paid for a 1 bedroom apartment. This would have been helpful for when our baby was sleeping but an extremely minor detail and would not stop us from staying there again.

The managers of the property were exceptional and couldn’t have done anymore to make our stay fabulous . We had a great apartment furnished perfectly . The pool area was amazing , pool was heated which was awesome and the location was super .. across road to beach and literally a 5 min walk into Macrossan St (main street) for shopping/dining etc

Noise travels within the building/the apartment as it’s clearly not very solid and there are plumbing issues which need to be resolved…

Great location, close to the Main Street. The two bedroom apartment was very clean and comfortable. The pool and BBQ area were excellent, and kept to a very high standard. Rodney and Glynis were lovely to deal with. We were a family of 5 and had a great stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Nothing really. It’s not a swanky resort, but it’s a really good base for families to stay. Only slight niggle (and I struggle to write this as I loved the managers and their dog, Samantha, but want to be honest) was that the reception had a very strong smell. I’m a dog lover, and have volunteered at pounds for many years, but it could be off putting to some. Samantha is super cute though.

Central Plaza is well located. The room was exceptionally clean and well presented. The bathroom fitout was a little old, but very clean. The windows could be opened to allow a pleasant breeze throughout the apartment.

The shower over bath in the ensuite had a very slippery floor. The room was up two flights of stairs. When we called after initially booking the room, we were told that the room was up one flight of stairs.

Spacious unit, well presented with comfortable furniture and all the basics covered. Easy walking distance to shops. Loved the pool and BBQ area. Overall, good and would use again.

Beds were a little firm for my liking. It would've been a bonus to have a TV in the main bedroom. The antenna and power points are there in the BR but not utilised. Spa wasn't heated during our stay although website says it has a heated spa.

Very well appointed appartment (appt 24). Great pool with excellent BBQ facilities. Location was fantastic with short walk (5-10min) to either Marina, Beach or main shops. Mid stay (8nights) room clean was much appreciated for clean towels and room freshen up. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Would definitely stay here again. Good size balcony for family of 4.

The size of the apartment, it had plenty of ceiling fans and also air-conditioning in all main rooms, fly screens on all windows, good size fridge freezer and full cooking hob. The bathrooms both had showers with plenty of hot water and great water pressure. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer too.

Difficult to contact via phone, with no answer machine to be able to leave a message.

great location close to beach and shops. nice pool, spacious apartment. kitchen was well stocked with utensils and plates etc. the washing machine and dryer were useful.

some dishes were dirty, lots of dust, tv in master bedroom didn’t work with remote control. i couldn’t find out beforehand if it had a washer and dryer, it does, this would have been useful information. also we didn’t realise it would be cleaned mid week so we bought toilet paper. no tissues weee supplied.
