James Street Motor Inn

The room was larger than a standard motel room. There was a two person lounge, a dining table with four chairs, two single beds and a queen size bed in the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was airconditioned for heat or cooling. There was a kettle, toaster and mugs, tea, coffee etc. The motel had a restaurant and we ate there two nights. The meals were reasonably priced and very filling. Although they have deserts, we couldn't fit that in. It is advisable to book as they do get bus tours stopping there are there is limited seating. There is also a pool but we didn't jump in as it was cold.

There wasn't a plug for the sink (shaving). There weren't any plates for toast.

Good size table to sit at to eat. Great to have an option of mug or cup to make a beverage. Liked that the glasses were clean and in the fridge.

While the room contained a microwave and toaster, there were no cutlery or crockery items to use with them. A bowl, plate, spoon, knife and fork would have been useful.

helpful hostess assisted us with all questions relating to shops etc. and had friendly greeting every time we saw her. the hotel suited us as were close to my family here - 2minute drive. I was surprised how spotless the place was compared to other hotels around Queensland that we have stayed at over the years.

The gardener was trimming the trees outside our room and I was on the phone and had to tell him to stop while I finished my call . it was quite early.

Room was excellent, bathroom had both shower and bath. Restaurant was very comfortable and welcoming, meals were excellent value for money, and portion sizes were generous. Would highly recommend for travellers in the area. Staff focused on detail and wellbeing of guests. Didn’t use it, but there is pool that families were enjoying. 100% satisfaction. Clean rooms, great location for event, super friendly staff, drinks available via reception, restaurant for dinner, spa was nice, bed comfy

Pool was empty, found a dirty wash cloth in shower but we did rush for an early check in and I'm confident the shower was cleaned.

The whole experience was really terrific. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The Room was meticulously clean. We would certainly recommend this establishment to others.

The open drainage channels system at the entrance to the units on one side (the side on which our unit was located) could present a problem for older guests who may have vision &/or mobility problems. It could present as a bit of a mobility/trip hazard.

James St Motor Inn I highly recommended. Exceptional service. Greeted by the friendly lady in the office/reception. She was absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. She made us feel welcome. Thank you so much to the staff, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sending our best regards from Melbourne❤️

From the time we arrived, had dinner that evening and leaving the next morning the service and friendliness of the staff was beyond excellent...very much appreciated

Nothing you could complain about - everything was excellent

Very friendly check in and it was quick. The bar staff member was very friendly and efficient. Restaurant facility looked good but we were, unfortunately, booked in elsewhere for our evening meal. Will definitely try it on our next visit. The whole property was in good condition, clean and well kept.

The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious especially nice was the bath as my wife has arthritis and a soak was great. Extra parking was beneficial as we picked up a repaired car. The overall kindness and friendly welcome and care was wonderful. The location was quiet yet easy to access and move around from.
