Mid City Motel

Very large and spacious room, we only stayed one night so opted not to use the cooktop but it looked basic and useable. The bed was comfortable and the location was great. Good value for money. Older style but clean and tidy.

For such a spacious room we were suprised with the bathroom layout, we both had to sit sideways on the toilet as the shower glass screen was right in front of the bowl and anyone with long ish legs wouldn’t quite be able to fit comfortably which was so odd. But obviously not something that can be changed.

The location of this Motel was super convenient to get to and was close to every local attraction! The main shopping centre was only a 2 minute walk down the street and was well worth the 6 hour drive from Adelaide. The bed was comfy, and the TV had access to all streaming sites, so you can log into any account you have and watch right from where you're up to (just remember to log out). The bathroom had ample space, and the shower was really good as well. The room also had an air conditioner fitted, which was really useful.

There did seem to be a bit of dust over some surfaces like the bedside tables, but this was really minor. There were, however, crumbs that were left over from the previous occupants under the microwave that hadn't been cleaned up properly. The bed was also super close to the front door so that you couldn't even open the door fully before hitting the corner of the bed.

Great location. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Although older style premises, very clean and comfortable, real sized bathroom with extra rack for towels, shower pressure just right and 3in 1 shampoo etc dispenser worked well, bed comfortable, quiet operation of heating cycle of reverse cycle split system, car parking at door. Very quiet even though rooms on either side were occupied.Second visit to premises within a short time and will book to stay again.

Nothing to say

The rooms were clean & tidy and roomy. They had all the little things you need-hair dryer, towel hanging space, glasses, plates & cutlery. Kettle & toaster etc; It was very central to shops & pubs/eateries. The only problem was the bed which left us struggling to walk first thing in the morning. Quite satisfied though

The bed was extremely uncomfortable

This is a well run motel with friendly efficient staff. The management obviously work hard to make this older style motel comfortable, and provide everything you'd need for an overnight stay. Rooms are a decent size. The location is excellent, being a short walk to restaurants, shops, art gallery, library and theatre. It's half a block to the excellent Mac's hotel. It's quiet, not on a major road.

The cleaners use too much powerful deodorant or disinfectant. There's a small window in the bathroom, and you can open a shutter window in the main room, ventilation would be adequate if they didn't use so much deodorant.

The location was great in the town, easy walk to things. A clean and quiet location. Beds were comfortable with bunks for the kids in a separate room. Kitchen (full with plates, cutlery, microwave and little oven) was great. I would be more than happy to stay here again.

The combo bath/shower made it easy for water to splash about too much (especially for kids) if you weren't careful. We got the occasional luke warm shower for some reason and the drain was also a bit blocked and took some time to drain. The chairs in the kitchen area were a bit dated and wobbly, we're not big people but I'd be wary if you are before you sit. These were all minor maintenance issues which staff were happy to take on board and will probably be fixed soon, none would put me off staying here again at all.

Our room had lots of space and so many facilities. Not just a bed with extra pillows and rugs available in the cupboard, but we had a lounge, study desk, plates and cutlery, toaster and microwave and all the usuals. SO comfy to spread out for the 4 days we stayed.

there was almost nothing we didn't like at the Mid City Motel....I was glad however that I took earplugs as we slept in and our neighbours didn't. They would often talk at their cars which is to be expected, but was annoying.

This place reminds me how older hotel / motel can provide much better experience than flashy new hotels. The place is not newest, but everything was built solid and maintained well. Thoughtful and friendly staff as well. - exceptionally clean. Was surprised to see no stain in kettle at all, as all hotel / motel has some sort of stain. a bit old 70s style but everything looks crystal clean. - great shower. Water pressure is great with quick response to hot / cold tap. - thoughtful supplies such as kettle, bug killer, dish washing liquid, table cloth, microwave, utensils and dinnerware etc. There is also a functioning bbq outside. - my friend has coeliac disease and the staff would offer advice and helps with that.

Not much, especially with the price I pay. If I need to pick any, it is a bit aged and maybe light a tad dim.

Great location at a good price. The room was reasonably sized and very clean. Friendly staff. Walking distance to most things in the city. Convenient and good value. Would definitely stay again.

Had some noisy patrons in adjacent room one night - but that was not the motels fault, it was generally quiet. Room not the newest, but very functional and clean.

The room was surprisingly spacious and I was glad to see the kids had a separate room. The TV has Stan, Netflix, ABC iView, YouTube, Prime etc - so you can login to your own account, which we thought was great! Just don't forget to sign out again. The bed was pretty comfortable and the bathroom was a generous size. There were extra pillows and blankets, as well as a microwave, kettle, toaster and iron/ironing board. We were very happy with our stay
