Pier Hotel

Very comfortable, great location, incredibly nice bar staff, very nice food. A portion of chips is about three times as big than you'd get at home (UK). Kitchen area for breakfast etc bread, preserves, tea, coffee, juice, cereal provided, but I only realised this near the end of my stay.

No hairdryer.

The hotel is basic but is great value for money. The upstairs looks like the floor was recently refinished. The toilets were clean and there is very basic food for breakfast (four types of cereal, bread for toast, spreads & butter, milk, and tea and coffee). Our room overlooked the water and was not directly above the pub.

While we did not have this issue as our room was not above the pub, I could see how staying above the pub area could be loud on weekends. If concerned about noise, maybe call them to try to get a room that's not directly over the pub. Ours was only slightly to the side of the pub on NYE and the noise was minimal which was great.

Comfortable rooms, We stayed on a weeknight so the pub itself was quite quiet. Not sure how loud the noise would be if it was on a Fri or Sat night. Loved having our own bathroom. Beds were comfy and pillow clean and new. The addition of access to a communal kitchen was a bonus, It meant I was able to bring our own GF breakfast items and feel confident i had facilities to cook it all. Loved only having to "pop downstairs" for a beautiful pub meal for dinner.

I found the breakfast supplies upstairs adequate for my needs. Similarly I have no issues with bathroom facilities being shared - I am from an era when this was the norm , as long as all the facilities are clean and tidy - which they were.I was comfortable with my stay

I didn't find anything that didn't like. Had I been staying long term probably would have liked ensuite facilities .

Hotel in great location, close to the beach and shops like Woolies and Coles. Few take away places close also. Room was small but clean and great meal room for self serve breakfasts. Easy check-in and of course pub downstairs!

Problems with one shower no water but good soap dispenser and then tried the second shower which was great but with no soap in dispenser. Take your own, it would be easier, otherwise I can't fault the place.

the seafood was some of the best cooked and prepared I have eaten in a long time it’s a wonderful old pub with a great service and selection of beer wine and spirits as well as a great family friendly facility and then the weekend nite party gets lit with cocktails and cheap drinks with a DJ playing awesome dance music but no dance till Covid disappeared

the showers upstairs for community have water pressure problems with the old pipes I think

Breakfast facilities were good. A selection of toast and cereals were available. The beds were fantastic and the room cosy with a beach view. Plus the restaurant downstairs was amazing.

Only gripe I had was a loud door downstairs which slammed every time it was opened. Okay during the day but at night it was frustrating (especially as some guests returned to their rooms in the small hours of the morning)

The location was excellent. Right on the beach front. There are plenty of places to eat. Supermarkets 5 min walk. The room was clean. The shower looked dated but e ded up being excellant. Breakfast was either downstairs or there is a kitchen with coffee, juice, toast and cereals

Basic room with shared bathroom. Great for passing through. Sea across the road. Plenty of parking. Wifi worked. Walk to supermarkets and restaurants. Great help yourself breakfast plus tea and coffee which is always welcome. Would have been nice to have a little fridge in the room but used the kitchen one without dramas. Would recommend.

The Pier Hotel is in an awesome location, food was great, pub itself has a great vibe. Staff were friendly. Shower was the best shower for a hotel we have had in a long time!!!

Comfortable mattress but bed frame was a little wobbly.
