Blue Whale Motor Inn & Apartments

The linens used for bedding were clean. The bed itself is medium to hard comfort which suited our needs. Excellent reception on Netflix and YouTube streaming. The Spa was amazing and the bathroom looked like it has recently been re-done.

In the the unit that we stayed in, there was only one very small frying pan provided and it was made of an uncoated stainless steel which was so hard to clean, that it took several minutes of grinding just to remove soot and unwanted food debris. No spatula present, just a long soup spoon made of wood. So it was such a challenge to cook food.

We liked that we were able to book accommodation in our price range as I booked only night before and there was very little availability in Warrnambool, being long weekend. Room was good size along with spacious bathroom. Spa was relaxing and I like having separate roomed toilet. I was concerned highway traffic may disturb us during night but this wasn't the case at all. We experienced a good night's sleep. Manager was friendly & followed up on our request of staying 2nd night which we appreciated.

Be prepared to carry bags upstairs if your room is on upper floor.

Roomy and easily accessed. They were happy for us to park our trailer at the rear of our room. We had to separate rooms which gave us privacy. Aircon worked well.

Shower water was often just cold. Not even warm. We spoke to the proprietor near the end and our last showers were hot. The price had more than doubled from 2 years previously and we were quite disappointed by that. We understand that the rent of the property has doubled.

Large apartment at the Blue Whale Motel, west of town, on the Princes Highway. Two comfortable rooms, a double for my dad, and a double plus single for us and the toddler. Great for one night on our road trip. Staff very helpful. We left some of our toddler's stuffed toys and the manager helped get these returned to us in Melbourne.

Stove and microwave but no oven... which in fairness was as described. My fault for not reading.

This is my second time staying at Blue Whale. We Stayed for 5 nights. The beds and pillows were super comfy. I loved that the a bathroom is renovated. Everything was super clean. The wifi worked well. Appreciated the smart TV so i could log in to my netflix account. Housekeeping was always efficient in taking out rubbish and replenishing towels. Great location and not far from the city centre and other shops.

Shower leaked and this caused water to go all on the floor in front of the toilet. After 2 days had to ask for towels to wipe up the floor. Staff were helpful with this issue.

The motor inn grounds were clean and close to the centre of town. The rooms were clean and well set out. We loved the crisp white sheets and fluffy bath towels and decent hair dryer. The bathroom was light and modern. The motor inn was easy to locate (at night) as it was close to the giant coloured ball, so it helped us get our bearings and also there's a giant blue whale out front.

The bed was a little hard. The light did not work outside our room and there was a little step to the car park and I was worried I would trip at night being a little unsteady on my feet. (Phone torch to the rescue) Headboard around the light above the bed was a head banger.

When we arrived, thought the previous tenants ate Durian fruit leaving because there was a terrible smell in the common area. We opened all the windows then left for the day. When we came back, the smell was worst and it went to the rooms too cause we left them open, only to realize later that the stove was left open which explains the smell of Durian fruit/gas.

Spacious room with good facilities including kettle, toaster, microwave, plates/bowls, glasses (including wine glasses) and cutlery. Spacious room with ample sitting area. A large bathroom that's recently been renovated. Good value for money.

The pillows were terrible. The single bed moved/rolled when turning over in sleep, waking my son up regularly.

This is the second time my family & I have stayed at the Blue Whale Motor Inn, & can honestly say I will not stay anywhere else in Warrnambool. I have stayed at other places, but nothing beats the blue whale. For the room you get, & the service provided, they could easily charge a lot more than what they do. Customer service is amazing, & all the staff are incredibly helpful, & go above & beyond. Whilst there my 4 year old son had a severe nose bleed in his sleep, resulting in what looked like could have been a massacre, lots of blood on white sheets. We called reception in the morning & they had no problems & came and made a fresh clean bed, taking away the bloody sheets. They even washed the top I had been wearing which also had blood on it. Both times I have stayed, I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are exceptionally clean, & very sound proof. We come to Warrnambool very regularly now, & will not stay anywhere else.

Family 2 room apartment was spacious and clean, being winter the heating was great and kitchen had all you needed. There was ample room to move about without being on top of one another. adequate dining area and a couch and chair to relax and watch TV or just chillout with family and Chat.

Our only issues was parking as someone had used our parking space meaning we had to park some distance from our room and my 80 year old Mother has Mobility issues , other than that we we very happy.
