Parkhotel zur Klause

The gentleman who welcomed us and took care of everything was super friendly and helpful. He even made us a hot chocolate by hand one evening when the machine wasn't working. Bed was comfortable, 'comfort room with balcony' was nice and big. Very close to the Therme and next to the park to walk in and close to the town centre. Pool and own saunas were also pretty decent. Breakfast was plenty and also good, what you'd expect. Fluffy towels and robes provided.

Though generally clean and well kept the building and everything is generally on the older side, decor and furniture etc. is not modern or stylish. The room got quite cold (January) as the radiator decided to not work sometimes so we had to turn it off and on again. Curtains covering the window were thin and didn't keep out cold or light properly. Balcony door not well insulated. Also only one extra blanket provided with thin duvets. Hotel slippers would be good as floor was cold. Overall nothing really bad though, just minor things from the age of the building.

Great position (only a short walk to the Therme) and very nice location in the nature. The swimming pool, sauna and other facilities are very nice and well equipped. Good breakfast. Recommended!

Unfortunately on Sundays there are no taxis and buses drive seldom. It was complicated to reach the train station.

Parking place could be larger, we entered late every evening and then there was no space left.

Breakfast was great. Coffee was perfect. Austria is beautiful.

Nice, traditional Austrian family-owned hotel, with very nice atmosphere. Calm and quite place, with kind service and friendly staffs.

A little out of date hotel, but still pleasant. The owner and his staff were all supernice and friendly. I loved the opening hours of the spa/pool area (7am-11pm). You can rarely find a hotel where you can take a swim in the pool before breakfast. Absolutely loved that. The room was a little out of date but nice. Comfy bed and supersoft toilet paper. Breakfast was good and had everything you could wish for except bacon. Unfortunately the ham section hasn't been refilled, so there was almost nothing left.

As the owner was supernice, I hate to give a slightly bad review. The room was clean at the first sight, but there was a really big spider in the corner of the room (cleaning staff wouldn't be able to miss it) and I found two more spiders in the evening. There were spiderwebs all over the sideboard lamps. I suspect that they have cleaned the room some weeks ago and nothing happened since then. Also there was a dead bumblebee in my room and another at the pool. The pool itself was great, but could have used cleaning at the stairs. The lockers were broken and a step at the sauna was broker too. The steam bath was too big for the aggregate, så it didn't get hot enough. All in all it was a great stay, I can't say anything else. If they just up their cleaning game and fix some of the broken stuff, this hotel would easily be a solid 8.
