IMLAUER HOTEL PITTER Salzburg

Room was well-appointed and comfortable (we were in a small suite). Richard at the front desk was particularly kind and helpful. Location of the hotel is great and within easy walking distance of many restaurants, sites, and the train station.

Bed was terribly uncomfortable. Service at the sky bar restaurant was subpar, mainly because they were completely oversubscribed in terms of reservations and they appeared understaffed. Service, when our server actually stopped at our table, was fine - it was just very infrequent which made for a long evening (we waited almost 45 minutes for our bill, and were overcharged for several items).

Very professional, helpful and friendly staff at reception - proactive with the information and recommendations. The restaurant staff helped cater to my son's allergies at breakfast and dinner, taking extra care to ensure no allergens and no cross-contamination. The location of the hotel is great: very close to the old town as well as the train station and easy to reach by car (needed for the tours operators). The family room was renovated and very clean and comfortable. This is the second summer we stay at the IMLAUER HOTEL PITTER Salzburg and we look forward to our next time there - I highly recommend it...

Spaciouse room and comfortable bed. Superb location of this hotel makes it easy to get to all the major attractions within a few minutes walk. The stuff was very helpful and friendly. There are free mineral water bottles in the room and at the reception . The restaurant on the top floor has a terrace with a view of the castle. We ate all our dinners their for the very delisiouse food and great ambiance. Rich breakfast with many choices. Could be taken as a buffet or a la cart.

The Hotel has a perfect location, Parking lot is a little far from the hotel but it was manageable. Beautiful room with everything you need. Big room, plenty towels, very clean shits, snacks, & water. Everyone in this hotel is very helpful, friendly and professionally responsible. The breakfast aria has a beautiful view and plenty of food choices always depend on the day you stay in the hotel. We loved this hotel and I suggest to all Americans that are used to big room hotels.

Parking was in different building.

The dinner at the sky restaurant was excellent. The servie there during trhe dinner was also very good. Which was not really the case during the pre-dinner drink where it could have been a bit more friendly and forthcoming. The front desk was VERY forthcoming, helping and alos finding solutions for our challenges.

The room (family room for 4 people) was small, despite the dressing room which was quite convenient. The sauna was not on at 17:30, and therefore we could not use it.

We stayed here in December and it’s a great hotel in an amazing location. If your looking for a romantic trip to Salzburg, this hotel is in an ideal place. It’s easy to get into the centre of town with a short walk along the river. After a day of strolling around this beautiful city, you can head back and whether your looking for excellent food in the modern Sky Restaurant or prefer a more traditional Austrian theme at the Keller Restaurant, it’s all available on site. I would highly recommend this hotel, we were looking for a romantic weekend in Salzburg and it was perfect 😊

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly. The location is excellent, just a 3 min walk from the Mirabell Palace and its gardens and 10-15 minutes walk from most of the main sights. Private underground parking is available just across the street at 22 euro/night. The spaces are very narrow, but we managed to find a spot for our 7-seat van. The hotel has several restaurants. The SkyBar on the top floor with an outside terrace/rooftop bar. This is where you have breakfast and can also come for lunch, drinks, or dinner (best reserve in advance if you want to have dinner here). There's also a traditional Austrian restaurant Pitter Keller in the basement which has a more relaxed atmosphere and excellent food as well. They also have a garden restaurant Pitter Garden, but it was closed during our stay. We had an XL Junior Suite for 2 adults + 2 kids and it was very spacious with a big bathroom (bath + shower) and a separate toilet. The beds were very comfortable and the curtains did an excellent job keeping the room dark. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice for every taste and very good bread, fresh fruit, etc. TIP: Be sure to get Salzburg Card (at the tourism office or at the hotel reception) - public transport and most of the attractions are included and it's an excellent value that more than pays off.

The service at the SkyBar at lunch was a bit slow and we had to stand up and look for a waiter a few times when we needed something. A bit strange for a restaurant in this price category. Upon check out, the hotel charged us some kind of 'energy surcharge'. Just 2 euro per person per night, so not a big deal, but when you book a stay at a fixed price and prepay everything, you shouldn't be charged any extra costs. It just left a strange impression on the otherwise perfect place.

Our first trip to incredible Salzburg was only made better by our stay at Imlauer Hotel Pitter. Conveniently located between the train station (5 blocks away walking distance) and close to Mirabell Palace and Gardens, it was the perfect hotel for us. Clean, spacious rooms. Friendly, accommodating staff. An excellent rooftop restaurant/bar with delicious food and drinks, a vast wine selection, and breathtaking views of Salzburg. And the breakfast buffet was the best! A varied selection of breakfast items, including a great chef making eggs and omelets to order. Delicious way to start the day! Imlauer Hotel Pitter is a perfect hotel for a stay in Salzburg.

We had a room with a view of a parking courtyard for service vehicles. View room would have been better. The hallways are a bit drab. But so what? We didn't stay in the hallway.

The hotel was absolutely incredible but the staff by far made our stay here as good as it could be. nothing was too much trouble, they helped us book trips and train tickets to ongoing destinations. we were given a free upgrade to the best room in the hotel which made it even more special seeing that we were celebrating my Mum’s 70th birthday. they also gave us a free glass of champagne in the bar to celebrate. location was fantastic, 15 minute walk into the old town and 10 minute walk to the train station. breakfast was fantastic, with lots of choice. would definitely recommend. we had a lovely time. Very clean rooms , no smells, comfortable beds with plenty pillows. TV nothing exceptional. Well cooked delicious rib eye steak in the Skyline restaurant, Robby non alcoholic drink was delicious. Sweets were tasty too. Staff were extremely helpful and managed all tasks set.

Lift system is good but can confuse . It wouldn't let me go down from the Skyline restaurant after Breakfast so used the stairs. The bathroom is luxuriously fitted out. Only thing I'd the sink is too shallow and the water goes down the over flow. Nothing else.
