This is a lovely old colonial hotel with many original features and furniture. Although on a busy road it is very quiet once in the courtyard areas and in the rooms. There are many seating areas in the courtyards and a viewing point on the roof. We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had two large windows with views over the rooftops. The staff were very helpful, welcoming and informative. There was a buffet breakfast with a wide range of foods and eggs to order.

It's only a minor point but the large windows faced the afternoon sun making the room quite hot and it was really difficult to open any windows. They also allowed a lot of light pollution in at night despite the curtains..

I really liked the colonial style of the hotel. It had a lot of nice touches, including lovely antiques. The location was great...within close walking distance of almost everything that I wanted to see and do while in Sucre. The breakfasts exceeded my expectations with so many choices of food and beverages. There was fresh fruit and yogurt, fresh squeezed orange, and fresh made carrot juice, scrambled eggs with ham (you could request a boiled egg), homemade whole-wheat bread, many sweet things, such as orange cake, almond-carrot cake, apple pie, and lemon pie. I didn't find any of the desserts too sweet, which was important. The staff was very friendly and professional. I was sorry to leave after my 3 nights there.

The only thing I'm not giving a top rating on is the noise. Occasionally at night there were some loud noises outside, but that wasn't the fault of the hotel and the noises didn't last long.

We loved the charm of this beautiful building and the location. The rooftop views were sensational and we enjoyed sitting up there when we needed time out to relax. The staff were very helpful and the manager in particular went out of his way to assist us in any way possible. We were also very fortunate that our room was ready when we arrived at 6.30am after an overnight bus from Uyuni. I expected to just leave our luggage but we were able to shower and use the room and were not charged extra for this. Would highly recommend.

There was nothing not to like.

The breakfast was delicious and with a large variety of freshly baked cakes and breads. The hotel is like a museum with a terrific mix of decorations from the owners estate. the view from the patio atop the hotel is stunning. The nearby area is safe, and just a few blocks from the main Plaza. Many stores and restaurants nearby. Every nearby block has has something historical to see. Never had a staff be more helpful.

Security was not great. Room keys were left on the counter, and the entry was not always guarded. No safety box in the room and unmonitored keys puts room belongings at risk. There is no fridge in the room.

Stunning place - beautiful original antique colonial architecture and artefacts in a truly comfortable centrally located hotel. We spent two splendid nights here but wished we could have stayed longer (beware Sundays most things are closed - and not many people around to ask!). Loved this special place!

This hotel is a real oasis in the city. Close to the central square and cafes and restaurants, but far enough to be quieter. Of course in a central city there is some noise, but the beautiful courtyard prevents it reaching the rooms. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Facility was very nice, clean and well presented. Breakfast was very good with choice of juices, fruit, breads tea and coffee. Also scrambled eggs. Very good location in the center of the town, walking distance to many attractions. Overall a very good value.

Only one staff member spoke english. In his absence it was difficult to communicate.

Nice location, near to everything but not in the middle of caos (besides there's a school close to it)

The accomodation is starting to get quite old (it's not old but starting to). They could take a look on maintenance, like my entry door had to be super pushed to close/open and the energy plugs were not working 100%

The staff were very friendly and helpful, Raul at reception went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and made recommendations for restaurants...Joyride was our favourite one. The roof top terraces are fantastic and a perfect place to relax with a drink and soak up the stunning views. The location is great just few minutes walk to the centre plaza.

We found the bed a little old and uncomfortable.

An extraordinary hotel in an extraordinary town of Bolivia. The colonial section of Sucre is worth a visit and if you wish to experience the flair of the town, you should stay at the 'Su Merced', housed in one of the white buildings of the White Town. You can expect great service and the most helpful staff.
