South Country Inn

I'm assuming this was a family run inn. All staff was pleasant. Pool area was clean and had longer hours then most hotels. We stayed on the bottom floor and there was a bathroom in the hallway, which was ideal because we were traveling with a group of 4 girls. So the extra toilet and sink were useful to us. Complimentary coffee in the lobby. Great location, short walk to stores and eateries.

The room did not have a coffee pot or phone. You have to ask the front desk for pool towels, which is no big deal, but there wasn't always an employee at the desk. So you either had to wait. Or go swimming and come back to the desk soaking wet to get one. The lobby appears to close at night. I would get up early to workout (6am) and the lobby was dark and no employee.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was as advertised. Very clean and comfortable . The rooms did not have coffee however there was a Keurig machine at the front desk. If you wanted more than 1 cup they would brew you a carafe of coffee to take to your room. Additionally there was a room downstairs you could use as a kitchen( no condiments) with plates and cutlery. Very handy. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was all very lovely, and we loved the swimming pool! It was also conveniently located next to one of the only breakfast places in town (A&W).

We couldn't find the pool towels to begin with, but were helped quickly. The curtains didn't keep out much light, so the room was a little bright, but we were so tired it didn't really matter :)

Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a room for six as most hotels do not accommodate our family. The little pool was a great activity for the kids.

It is not the hotel's fault, but Cardston has many drug-addicted street wanderers that make it uncomfortable to walk the streets with your kids.

It was clean and comfortable. The girls were fantastic when we needed anything.

Way too much chlorine in the pool and hot tub. So much so that it burned your eyes. The other thing was that the TV convertor was not hooked up properly. Instead of 1 remote there was 2 and it never worked. They really need to have it fixed properly.

Room was spacious and private with the door between shared rooms.

TV remote didn't work, AC could use an upgrade. People who take/steal remotes should be charged accordingly. My daughter and I had to share a remote between her tv and mine as the second one that the front desk gave us did not work.

Victoria at the front desk provided exceptional service through check in. Every staff here is very friendly and helpful!

I have no high expectations, i acknowledge that it is not a multi-star hotel. Just wish their sheets, blankets are a bit more of quality.

The girl behind the desk. She was magnificent. Wished that I had asked for her name. Her surname was Schmichael. She was very helpful and went over and beyond her duties. Thank you very much.

Nowhere to go for breakfast, except for burgers across the way. Wished that there had been a small cafe close by. Non in the town.

Good location for our needs

Booking.com messed up and our payment didn’t go through to the motel. We got double billed and it took multiple phone calls and weeks to resolve the problem. Not using Booking.com again

Size of our room. The swimming pool, hot tub and slide. Also proximity to the A&W restaurant and Dairy Queen.

One evening I came in laughing with my granddaughter and the receptionist shushed me as other guests were sleeping… later she was joking loudly with another guest! Left a bad taste…
