Model A Inn

This is a very quaint, affordable motel that reminds me of my childhood when we would travel to visit family. Was close to Walmart and a grocery store along with fast food places and restaurants. As the room only slept 4 but we were a party of 5 - 3 adults and 2 children, he had no issues with us putting up the camping cot bunk bed system that I had for the grandchildren and gave us a room that was not only large enough but also at ground level where we did not have a long way to carry everything.

The room had both a fridge and microwave but could really have used a coffee machine. Luckily I was travelling with a small kettle where we were able to still make a coffee and hot chocolate.

Everything about our stay met my expectations. Our stay was short as a stop over on route to elsewhere, great pet friendly option. Service from Randy at reception was excellent . It was abnormally cold that night and there was a large truck needing to plug in and also run the trailer part through the night to avoid goods freezing . It was very loud and in close proximity to our room but a quick phone call to Randy and within 20 minutes he had found an alternate location for the gentleman to park and plug in and it was completely out of ear shot . Also appreciated no size limit of dogs and only charged 1 pet fee even though I disclosed I was travelling with 2. Very much appreciated!

If I were staying for longer the beds could be upgraded but for a 1 night quick stay it did us just fine!

Beautiful location and easy access. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a bit of trouble getting on wifi but went to the main desk and he reset it right away and it worked. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. The Inn was pet friendly and although we did not have a pet and were in a pet friendly room it was very clean. We were running late and when I called to confirm we were on our way they were great.

The room was great, I am a housekeeper as well. however before we checked out, we noticed a ant infestion near the room enterance, not totally a big deal, as it is summmer. but everything was great from my housekeeping eye. I love the room, will recommened, and come back some time in the future. Thank you.

The owner was willing to accommodate my late arrival at the motel, my need for a non smoking room, and to provide a kettle and cup for tea. The motel was one of the closer ones to the airport (important for me after a long day and arriving late at night). I found my room was quiet, there was parking, the room was warm and the bed comfortable. There was no shortage of hot water and a hairdryer

Cleanliness

No breakfast included, but the staff was great and the room very clean and an excellent bed.

What was there not to like? I was late getting back to the room so most of the good parking spots were taken, but the one I did get was just fine.

We often stay here in advance of an early flight or after a late flight in and out of the Cranbrook airport. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable, and late check-ins are accommodated. Reception is friendly and welcoming.

All was as expected.

No breakfast was available. The location was fine and located near shops. The beds were excellent, had the best sleep ever. Room was spotlessly clean and the owner, Randy, was very polite and helpful.

Wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Clean, convenient and a good price. The owner let us stay an extra day when we needed to.

Accessing it was a little weird from the main road. To get out and go south we had to drive through a car dealership lot.

Clean room with comfortable bed. Fridge and microwave in the room. Location close to grocery stores and restaurants. Friendly staff. Randy answered all my questions and gave great advice about things to do in the area.
