Sandman Hotel Victoria

I like the room that we stayed. Very comfy and with kitchenette, everything was complete.

The property was outdated. The pool has too much chlorine as well as the hot tub too. My face got irritated, my son and husband too. But that’s okay, we just have a sensitive skin. Pool surroundings are very dirty, you can see the lewd around the hot tub and I was just wondering why the hot tub had bubbles? So I asked the maintenance that time, I forgot his name. He said that it’s okay.

The hotel was clean and well presented, staff were friendly and helpful. Location was a 10-15 minute walk from downtown and there are a couple of excellent breweries along the way if you get thirsty during the walk.

The restaurant was closed for renovations and the roof was being repaired so there was some noise in the morning. Not really too much of a down side but if you're considering a stay soon, keep it in mind.

The Hotel Sandman,

The staff on spot, for our needs upon arrival and till we left. The location leaves alot to be dissired. Unfortunately since you restaurant is under construction. If you want a great cup of coffee you have to walk a couple blocks north, that is quite an experience. At the very least Get that restaurant open. So your Guest can complete their stay in relative comfort.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large hotel room that allowed out family to spread out. Great shower, comfy beds. Nice having a few items available for breakfast each day. My son really enjoyed the pool area.

Pull-out couch was not very comfortable for sleeping on. Not the best neighborhood to go for a walk in, but within easy driving distance to the harbour front and various amenities.

The shower was easily the best shower I’d ever had.

It was kind of a disappointment that the Shark Club was under renovation. It was a small factor in us booking this particular hotel. The price is a little high, but it was a preferable location close to the event that we attended so we accepted it.

The room was clean. We do enjoy stay at this Sandman because it is convenient and close for where we need to go during our stay. The Front desk and the Housekeeping are Friendly, helpful.

I didn't like that I had noticed some dirty dishes sitting outside some other rooms door for a number of days. Before the Housekeepers had taken them. For example, we had checked in on Thursday and the two rooms next door to us had dishes still outside the door until Monday morning. Noticed these dishes the minute we were walking into our room. Also, noticed that the room was clean but the washroom wasn't disinfected. Good thing I brought my own disinfectant.

exceeded my expectations. rooms were bigger than I thought and the kitchen had everything I needed and more. I was pleased with the morning snacks and everything was in working order at the pool/hot tub. the bed was also comfortable

some of the other guests were vulgar in lobby and talked all night long loudly.

Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout stay. Hotel is very clean, taking precautions, and very good location. Room was VERY clean and had a decent view from window. Spacious room with all the regular amenities. Pool was open if you wanted to use it but you have to book through the front desk. Laundry on site. There is a resturant attached to hotel, but we didn't order from there. Nice to have that option though. Basically downtown. We are about 10minutes drive to the BC Museum/10minute drive to many parks and beaches. Can walk to all your basic needs and more.

AC wasnt on when we arrived which was rough. Took almost a whole day to cool the room. Mini fridge was definietly a mini fridge--was the small half size which wasnt ideal when staying a few days.

Nothing. We brought in our own breakfast supplies.

There was only coffee and hot water for tea, and muffins that were not freshly made. The adjoining restaurant has been closed for some time and it didn't appear any effort has been made to replace the services.

It is very family friendly. The price is very reasonable price is not too much compare to other hotels. Good hotel for family with kids.Hotel is very clean.

We asked for housekeeping garbages was not taken out.
