Breakfast was not offered so we ordered their dessert biscuits with homemade preserves the night before. We ate them on our balcony in the morning. Delicious The restaurant is seasonal but they will tell you what restaurants are near by. We stayed in the king suite with an ocean view and a large semi private balcony. (The balcony is shared by two rooms but it has a divider in the middle.)

Our room was not cleaned between the first and second night. Normally this wouldn’t matter but the balcony is covered with roofing like material so tiny little stones were tracked into the room. On the plus side we were able to get more coffee pods for the coffee maker.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The view was unbeatable, especially for sunsets over the bay! The property was very well maintained and super quiet at night. Having access to the room from both interior and exterior means was very handy and made the stay seem even more private than usual.

Breakfast options in the community were rather limited during our stay, so it really would’ve been nice to have even a continental brekkie on offer - either in the interior corridor or the restaurant area downstairs. We had to drive to Whitbourne (14km away) for breakfast. Not having a breakfast on site seems like a missed opportunity and would help strengthen the offering even more. The shower stall in our room was rather cramped, leaving not a lot of room to manoeuvre. It would have been great to have a handheld shower head in the bathroom.

The inn was beautiful, I absolutely loved our room, the king suite had a garden tub, we had a private balcony. The balcony was great to sit out and enjoy a drink. Everything in our room was beautiful, clean and new The decor/furnishings were modern. The view from the balcony was great, right on the water. While we didn't eat at the restaurant, the music was great. The lady at reception was very friendly and pleasant.

There was no option for breakfast, the restaurant opens at 12. We drove to Tim's in Whitbourne to eat. Also, there was no telephone in the room.

The beautiful, peaceful waterfront location is fantastic. The hospitality of the staff is pretty much to be expected in Newfoundland and here was no exception. The seafood in the dining room was as good as any we had in the province. The room was very tidy and the bed was very comfortable.

We could hear a bit of noise from the adjacent room but pretty minor stuff in the overall scope of things. There is pretty clear signage for no noise after 11:00, so it was all good. Still a very peaceful stay.

Located by the edge of Trinity Bay, Dildo Boat House was one of our dream Inns for our two night's stay. The sun was shining throughout our stay and this made our time spent mostly gazing at the water something special. A boat trip was arranged by the owner to watch the Bald Eagles, and the experience will be with us for the rest of our lives as we watched in awe 2 pairs of eagles diving in to pick up the fish thrown in to the water. We enjoyed that special excursion with 4 other Canadians listening to music in a relaxing atmosphere on the boat. The owners and their staff were very friendly and this made our stay that much special. Our room with the sea view was comfortable, very clean and modern. The whole experience of being at Dildo Boat House exceeded our expectations. The owner entertained us in the afternoon with his great impression of Elvis Presley's all time great songs. The whole atmosphere was unforgettable. There was a mix up with our booking on our arrival, but the owners went out of their way to put that right and offered us very generous compensation for their error. Their action impressed us and it was the finest example we could recall of a problem being addressed and action being taken to remedy it. Thank you Dennis and Paula for welcoming us. We recommend this beautiful accommodation for visitors to Newfoundland.

Nice and updated, clean, quiet!

Location - I thought we would be able to walk to the brewery in Dildo (distance wise it is not far!) however the road this is off of is narrow compared to the speed the cars drive (fast) with no sidewalk and not much shoulder, so we didn’t feel comfortable planning to walk back on it in the dark. If you are planning to drive, the boathouse inn is located very close to the main centre of town.

Beautiful, cozy room. Bed was very comfortable as well, which was nice. Having a nice, deep tub to relax in overlooking the bay was an added bonus. All the amenities in the room were fantastic, and I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel before that had the amount of towels that we had here. Minutes from the Dildo Brewing Co. & Museum and a short 30 minute drive to Carbonnear.

Loved the location and view from room..saw some stunning sunsets. Large spacious room with spa bath which was great fun... Bed comfy and bathroom sink was beautiful.. Love the colours / little touches and use of natural resources...👍

Water pressure and temperature on first night very poor so barely able to fill tub with luke warm water😢 Quite a lot noise from the other guests....i.e. the hallway / doors tend to not to close quietly ?? How loud someone needed to have their TV on .🙄

The location was excellent. It rests right on the waters edge. The room we stayed in had the spa tub and a beautiful view of the ocean. The rooms were spacious and clean. Very well decorated.

The live music playing in the restaurant on the property was hard to handle when attending the restaurant as the speakers were extremely loud. Others had the same issue.

The stairs were a surprise would have been nice to know as I would have packed a smaller bag to pack up The flight of stairs Especially since there is no elevator Kitchen was unfortunately very backed up it 2 hrs to get our meal which was delicious and the staff were very friendly but maybe needed one more
