Comfort Inn & Suites

Spacious parking, beatiful lanscaped building. Quiet area, staff friendly, clean, quiet (we there during week), continental breakfast was unbelievably varient. Loved waffle maker. Our room was clean awesome as had sofa couch extra and seating area(half wall. Microwave mini fridge. Town very beautiful and beach not far. Beach street restaurant right at beach,recommend the pickeral. We never been to Goderich and we were impressed. Quiet tourist town (weekends busy). Ps:must go to Culberts bakery,Cream puffs delicious.

Liked everything, no kids running around hallways,no loud talking in hallways,quiet , was all ok

We stayed in Comfort Inn, in Goderich August 21-23, 2023. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. We did not have to wait for the check in or check out process. The beds were very comfortable and they provided clean linens, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, makeup wipes, lotion, soap, decaf coffee, Columbia coffee, tea and sugars in the room. They fresh bake cookies each day and place them out in a cookie jar in the entry area near lemon water. The pool was kept at a good temperature and goes to 4 feet 6 inches in depth, there was also a small gym for those who would like to work out. The buffet breakfast was great. There was bread, bagels, muffins, yogurt, apples, oranges, sausages, small omelettes, a couple kinds of cereal, a couple kinds of packages oatmeal, and waffles. For drinks there was coffee, tea, water, apple juice and orange juice.

The pool was kept at a nice temperature and we enjoyed all the available towels; however the pool walls could have used a scrubbing and their accessible entry chair was not working.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good even if there were only few choices. The omelet and sausage were tasty. Their coffee was also good. Checking in and checking out was fast. Staff were nice. Location is also great because it is close to restaurants, groceries, the beach, and the downtown area.

Booking.com charged me 414.60 CAD when I booked but upon check in, I was charged 418.22 CAD by the hotel. It is just a small difference but it was just weird that the amount I booked with was not the same one i was charged by the hotel and when I asked why, the staff could not explain the reason.

The room was clean, updated and the staff were amazing. Great location

The TV. It was beyond frustrating to have to use different techniques to turn it on. It should have been easy peasy with the click of a button. This process involved powering on a few times, waiting, switching posts to Hdmi then in the meantime the box in the back would power itself off for no reason. This occurred each and everytime we tried to watch TV. and we are tech savy people but this was frustrating both of us. Never had this at at any other hotel.

The location is perfect if you want to walk around Goderich. Brand new hotel, what you would expect from Comfort Inn and suites. Room was big, and clean. Bed was comfortable, didn't use the pull out sofa. TV was Satellite, had hundreds of channels. Breakfast was what you expect at any Choice hotel. Eggs, breads, bagels, yogurt, waffles, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, sausage.

Nothing - it met my expectation and was very clean

We only stayed for one night on our short visit to Goderich. The bed was super comfortable, the room was clean, the bathroom huge. There was a decent selection of food and beverages for breakfast, everything tasted great and I really appreciated the availability of decaf coffee. There is plenty of parking in front of the hotel and the hotel itself is conveniently located.

The AC/heating unit is a bit noisy, but you can always just switch it off. The walls are very thin, but we didn’t have a noisy neighbour so it didn’t really impact our stay.

The lighting in the room was very good. There were bedside lamps on both bedside tables and a good lamp on the desk. All the lamps had chargers and plugs. The breakfast choices were good with hot sausages and omelettes as well as a waffle maker.

The TV wasn't working. We appreciated that the manager fixed it, but unfortunately the next time we turned it on it was the same problem of no signal. The manager mentioned that they had just switched to a different provider and were trying to work out the glitches.

Beautiful, modern spacious building that looks brand new. Room was very large and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Quiet the whole time. In very quiet neighbourhood, though just off the main strip.

Not a real complaint, TV was very modern and perfect picture, operating the remote control took some getting used to since the TV and cable operate separately. Easy enough to use once figured out.

Good location, comfortable bed, nice clean and spacious bathroom. Staff were pleasant and friendly and breakfast was enjoyable. It was quiet and peaceful, easy to relax and have a great sleep :)

Although the room was pretty clean, one of the night tables had a sticky ring from a cup/glass. Some of the channels on the television were fuzzy, could have been poor reception? Even with these small things, would stay there again hands down!

Location was great, Terese (sp?) was fantastic. Such lovely energy, so helpful & kind. A local treasure. Breakfast was decent enough, beds super comfy, room clean. Great value!

Breakfast was only ok but it's a Comfort Inn so manage expectations, ie don't expect maple syrup for your waffles. Potatoes would be great tho!
