Hotel et Motel Le Chateauguay

The room, bed sheets, pillows, mattress were spotless clean. I normally never sleep in hotel bedsheets. I always bring a sleeping bag and my own pillow. I actually slept in the bedsheets at this hotel. The bed was very comfortable too. Staff was friendly and helpful concerning tourist information, also bilingual in French and English. Quick check-in. Parking is excellent. Hot tub was clean and the water was plentiful and boiling hot. Good air conditioning within the rooms. Rooms are modern and renovated.

The only grievance I have was the strong smell of chlorine from the swimming pool. I work with industrial chemicals for a living btw, so I am not one to complain over the smell of chlorine; however, this was a strong smell! We rented 2 deluxe rooms within the hotel, where the pool is located. I highly suggest that the establishment considers switching from chlorine to a saltwater system. Eliminating the chlorine smell with that extra investment would boost their ranking to an easy 9 to 9.5 out of 10 if they did.

The receptionist was polite, knowledgeable and very welcoming, service was quick. The rooms were clean and well presented. Parking spaces were a little tight for our large van, so we were given a larger spot behind the hotel, which worked out just fine. Very secure an comfortable stay. we did not use the pool/spa/fitness area. Suited us very well and everything was as expected for a quick overnight stopover on our way to the Whale Watching tour in Tadoussec.

There was no toiletries in the bathroom, so was glad I had brought my own shower gel/toothpaste/shampoo etc.

I like the clientele service the room was clean the hot tub and pool where lovely and location was ideal.

The continental breakfast was reasonable but I would have preferred it if the fruit was fresher the bananas were Brown, And a little bit more variety for those who have food sensitivities or allergies

The check-out is too early in comparison to the check-in. 5 hours between them. The check-in should be earlier.

The value is great for what you get! The pool and spa were clean and the room too. Breakfast is also available for a reasonable extra charge. Staff was available and friendly. It's a quiet location, but close to a lot of things.

The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked and the water pressure was weak. The bathroom was also oddly split from the shower with a table and chairs... There were curtains that separated the bedroom from them, but it was see-through from the bedroom yet wasn't from the other side when it should be the opposite.

Nice facilities, the pool and hot tub were great after a day of skiing! Convenient parking just at your door.

It can get noisy when other guests arrive as it is a motel with parking just outside the windows. It would be nice to have a changing area by the pool instead of only a single bathroom. It’s very unpractical when more than a few guests uses the pool area as there is also very little space to store your winter clothes around the pool.

Great location, less than 10 minute drive to Quebec centre. Room size was very comfortable.

Was advised that there would be no cleaning of room or beds made during my stay due to covid, which was okay with me. However, one night I returned to my room to find the sheets and blankets had been removed from the bed and were piled up on a chair. Perhaps, it was a miscommunication and they thought I was checked out, but then when they saw my stuff still there and realized their mistake, they should have remade my bed. I had to make the entire bed myself since it was late at night.

We stayed at the motel part, which includes 30 rooms. The room was very clean and it had the needed utilities. The staff is very welcoming, and the price was good considering it was Christmas, compared to the rest of the hotels. They had a nice indoor pool, unfortunately we did not try it even though it looked clean and appealing.

The bed was double, a little bit too small for my preference, with me being pregnant and my husband being with me, it was not the most comfortable night for me. But for the price I think it was a good deal compared to many others in Christmas. I'd have also appreciated it if there was tea in the room not just coffee, as I'm a tea person. :-)

There's a great swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the bathroom is good. We pretty much had everything we needed.

We had a tesla and we couldn't charge it outside the room because the plugs in the walls lacked grounding. In my opinion the breakfast was completely lacking, there wasn't much to eat.

Overall very good. Minor item was that there was a refrigerator but no microwave. The building is a few years old and the bathroom was on the small side.
