Le Petit Clocher is one of those places that travellers always hope to find but rarely do. This converted monastery is truly a treasure, filled with beautiful antique decor and art work throughout. Located just a short drive from town and up a slight hill the view of the mountains is magnificent. The historic space is so charming and cozy. Our room, The Chapel, was spacious with a very comfortable 4-poster bed and a sitting area. The host and owner, Richard, is a consummate gentleman, who takes on the enormous task of doing literally everything on his own: cooking, presenting and serving wonderful breakfasts and ensuring that the place is kept immaculate. Richard has thought of everything to ensure the perfect experience. We spent two nights there and are eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

This is the first ever place I've stayed in which felt like a fairytale. Everything was beautiful, hand-picked decorations which meshed well together, and we sat at a table like royalty. We ate multiple courses for breakfast, everything was amazing and described by Richard the host prior to us digging in. The bed was pretty comfortable, so many pillows, the view out of the window was mesmerizing. The jacuzzi was a great way to wind out after a day of exploring.

Not a single thing. Everything was beyond expectations.

The breakfast was good except hopefully there could have been a few more choices but all in all it was fine. The owner was a very friendly person and we had some very friendly conversations with him. He is a very soft spoke individual with a very subtle and down to earth sense of humor. My wife and I felt very comfortable speaking with him. This is just what we needed for 1 night getting away from all the noise of a big city like Montreal and Laval

There was not anyone thing that we didn't like about the actual place except the traffic in St-Sauveur on a Saturday when we arrived was terrible and Coffee shops like Tim Horton and McDonalds were either not opened or very slow short of staff for the number of people they had to serve.

Everything! The decor and attention to detail was stunning. The location atop the hill overlooking the valley of St Sauveur, and hearing the bells till on Sunday morning, was gorgeous. We walked into town for dinner (an easy twenty mins) and biked the next morning for coffee (five mins). The breakfast was decadent and delicious, and the hosts warm and kind. We will definitely be back!

The coffee wasn't quite up to our standards and it would have been nice to have some healthier options at breakfast, but we still found the meal wonderful

The location is great. Only a 15 - 20 minute walk to Saint Sauveur centre. The views are great. Breakfast was exceptional....not what I would order usually (I'm and eggs and sausage type of person) but it was super fresh and tasty and a generous portion. The crepes in particular were delicious. Richard, the host, is lovely. The house and rooms are really quaint....lots of furniture, rugs, blankets and cushions! The sitting room is just gorgeous.

The TV is small and dated....but then again a flat screen tv would look weird in the rooms. The internet was a little patchy but generally good.

We enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Clocher Gite Touristique B & B and here are the reasons: 1) the parking is right in front of the main door and free 2) the building has a history as it was a monastery 3) the location is great as this B & B is only a few minutes drive from popular Saint-Sauveur, so away from the hustle and bustle and really in a wonderful natural setting 4) the room was very clean and the bathroom spacious 5) comfortable chairs are spread out on the grounds and offer peace and quiet 6) there is a whirlpool 7) the breakfast, included in the price, was really beautifully presented and delicious 8) the living room, dining room and reading room are like a museum with lots of unusual items 9) the view of the valley and the surrounding mountains is really magnificent 10) guests can easily mingle 11) brochures and booklets are available to inform visitors about the activities in the area 12) the pictures on Booking.com are 100% accurate 13) there is a friendly dog that loves company 14) the owner, Richard, does an amazing job to operate this B & B all by himself!

Just to know: 1) you absolutely need a car 2) the television was very small and not very good 3) at night it was impossible to get a tea or any other beverage without driving back to Saint-Sauveur 4) the bed was a little bit too high.

The property overlooks a little valley so you are looking down into St Sauveur. The main room is chock full of beautiful furniture, paintings, one of a kind lamps, decorations. It is the only place I’ve stayed that offers a 3 course breakfast! This was my 3rd stay - my goal is to sleep in each one of the 7 rooms as each are individually decorated

There is absolutely nothing not to like!

Richard, the owner, is an angel. After a misunderstanding with another establishment, we were left in a situation in which we were scrambling to find accommodations. We were fortunate enough to snatch a last minute reservation at Le Petit Clocher. Richard welcomed us with such grace and kindness. He was very accommodating and took extra care after hearing how our prior accommodation plans fell through. The bedroom was absolutely stunning. The care to attention and detail and cleanliness was exquisite. The bed was so comfortable! We woke early and enjoyed a soak in the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the Laurentian mountain range. The breakfast Richard prepared for us was fit for royalty-- homemade strawberry puree, apple crepes with fresh berries and a lovely nectar drizzled on top, mouth watering almond cake, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. While we sat out on the front terrace, we enjoyed the view and the sounds of nature and relaxing French music in the background. Richard checked to make sure our breakfast was to our liking. He treated us with such warm hospitality and generosity. It was evident he cared so dearly about the welfare of all who stayed at his idyllic B&B. I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment for your travel plans. Le Petit Clocher is paradise. Merci mille fois, Richard! Vous etes un ange!

Nothing could have been better.

Right upon our arrival, Monsieur Richard ( the owner) did his utmost not only to welcome us but to see that we felt comfortable. His breakfasts were beyond our expectations. Any query was received positively, which is remarkable since he does everything mostly unaided. The location and peacefulness are extraordinary, close to everything but bathed in nature. Our room, les muguets, was comfortable, clean, restful and the water there is pure and soft ( not the chlorine smelling kind).

Some object to the amount of objects which might feel overwhelming to some at first. I found each one meaningful once you stop and really look at them. Nothing negative to say!
