Ramada by Wyndham Moose Jaw

I was attending the Festival of Words downtown so it was a bit of a drive, but worth it for the lovely new facilities. I'm allergic to peppers and like eggs in the morning. Most days the omelets and/or potatoes had red peppers throughout, so I couldn't eat them. The waffles were good.

I requested a copy of my invoice/receipt on checkout and was told it was billed to my employer so no need. I knew we had no account in Moose Jaw and expected to have to submit expense claim to be reimbursed. The front desk clerk assured me not so, it was all covered. It took me two or three requests to persuade him to print out my invoice. As it turned out when I submitted my expense claim, my stay had not been covered, but had been charged to my personal MasterCard. I would have had no record of my accommodation expenses had I not insisted. It is standard practice for business travellers to receive a copy of their checkout invoice so they can check the individual charges, whether or not they are paying personally.

The property was clean and well maintained. Perhaps being a newer motel was a factor in the general appearance or condition of the motel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The raised ridges along the concrete entrances/exits allowing vehicles access to and from the motel parking lot. Perhaps these ridges were place there by design to serve as speed bumps. I don't recall any postings indicating there were speed bumps in place to access or leave the property with a vehicle.

Breakfast was fine although the sausage was reported as tasteless. The staff manning the breakfast room was very helpful and friendly. She showed me how to operate the waffle maker and asked if we needed anything else. Cleaning staff greeted me in the hallway.

Very busy when I first arrived. (2 phone calls for bookings, the second was placed on hold while I was waiting. The first call took which took quite a while and then the receptionist took the second call once finished the first. A person who came after me wanting into an exercise room). I am a patient person but would have appreciated being acknowledged while waiting for everyone else to get served including the gentleman who came after me. I felt rather invisible which is certainly not a good customer service move. A second individual eventually came to the desk and served me. No apology was given.

The toilet was not flushing in our first room. Front desk clerk, Robin, quickly changed our room. The thermostat regulated the room temperature quickly and was quiet. The hallways were clean. The elevators were quick. Affordable. Room service staff were friendly and thorough.

It would have been nice to have a car service as the location was a distance from a few attractions.

The breakfast was good. The staff was great The room was nice. The lobby was upscale and pleasant. The hot tub and sauna were hot enough.

The only thing that I didn’t like was that the neighborhood was a bit industrial for me. We were only staying one night on our way from here to there so the neighborhood didn’t really matter anyway. A bit of grass and trees would help. Otherwise it was good value for the money and comfortable.

Close to stores, restaurants and the trolley tours. Beds were very comfortable. All day coffee being available was a nice touch. Enjoyed the free breakfast.

We had a kitchen suite but had to ask for kitchen supplies in order to use it. The supplies provided were sparse and we had to run out to get some extra cutlery and a sharp knife as well as paper plates in order to make our meals.

We liked everything about this hotel!! Everything was very clean, someone was always cleaning something. Breakfast was delicious. Room was very clean and comfortable. Every staff member was very pleasant and helpful.

The only thing we wish they had would be a sitting area outside.

Breakfast was good. The kitchen worker was very helpful. Made me a cup of Decaf. Much appreciated. Hash browns were very good. Man at the front deak was very professional and quick with the check in. Wonderful smile. Cleaning staff did great job our room was very clean. Also very friendly and polite. The bed was very comfortable

Pillows at all hotels are too big and hard.

Clean room, nice big bed, with a kitchnette. Great TV, nice hot tub and awesome bathroom. Free parking. Decent breakfast with tasty orange juice and great home cooked feel. Tristan is a rockstar, she solved our booking issue, had towels waiting for us, even came to our rescue with help setting up the hot tub. Sadly, we weren't tucked in before our sleep but I am confident she would've done if we needed to - that's not an overstatement: her customer service skills are TOP NOTCH. Also on our checkout there was a lovely lady who gave us stellar treatment - it *might* have something to do with my toddler's charm but I'll take it any day! :) You guys keep it up! You're doing a great job!

Booked through booking.com - was offered an upgrade where the room would have a kitchnette. Hotel system didn't account for that so our lovely staff member Tristan had to work her magic to get us to the right room, but being the rockstar that she is, everything went smoothly. I would advise people to don't go for upgrades through booking though, as it might get you an unexpected headache during busy times...

Breakfast was good, up to standard. Location was a good and safe location. Parking was good, well lit at night. Easily accessible off the Trans Canada highway and quick to depart out of town.

Housekeeping: Noticed a slightly dirty face towel hung on the towel rack above the toilet.
