Motel 6-Swift Current, SK

The room was very quiet. It is well off the road. I was able to get extra pillow for my daughter, who must sleep sitting up. The manager came up to check things when we told the front desk that we could not use the deadbolt. No one had told her that it did not line up. We were offered a new room.

The curtains needed to be bigger, to block out the light better. They were thick enough, but light came in all around. Our door latches did not line up. Some of the linoleum is lifting. A breakfast would definately been nice.

Great value for a clean, modern and sleek room! They have very cleverly used every square inch. My husband was very impressed with his stay and can't say enough about it, he even sent me a video!

There's not much improvement needed here. My husband mentioned he couldn't find anywhere in his room to charge his phone, which he needed for work. The other small issue is, he had to find a place for breakfast and coffee before walking to the mechanic's shop.

The Motel was clean and generally quite good. It's relatively new. We had trouble getting connected to its wifi network. The hotel manager came and spent an hour with us, calling Shaw technical support to fix the wifi connection to the room. After that it was fine. He was very nice and very much into making sure people have their needs met.

The shower head in the bathroom was loose fitting. caulking around it was white past and the same around the sink in the kitchenette unit we had. That should all be properly replaced. It gave us the feel of being unkempt. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was nothing but dried muffins. The previous motel six in Moosomin was much better.

The location was easy to get to and off the main highway so nice and quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The fridge in my room didn’t have a freezer but the one in the lounge did so I was able to refreeze my cooler ice packs which is wonderful when you are travelling. Great hotel for the price.

The coffee and muffins in the lounge are very nice. Throw in some yoghurt or fruit and it would be even better.

No surprises. LOVED the small table and seating nook!

I like the idea of a quick grab and go breakfast, although something other than muffins would be great. Coffee, as to be expected, was not good at all. I always go for tea in these situations, and the tea options were excellent. Would like actual conditioner not just conditioning shampoo. And more than the two little packets, which barely sufficed for my long hair.

I love that pets are free, and the rooms are rugless. I love that they utilize old towels by piecing them up and offering them as rags for accidents such as spilling your coffee, etc.

This particular motel 6 seemed unfinished as there was no way to get in through the back doors, although you could get out that way to take your pet out for example. The back area was a little rough...as if not yet landscaped.

The breakfast was ok. Usually have cereal & fruit but muffins were ok & coffee was plentiful. Location was fine with us & quieter off the beaten path

I guess the breakfast could have been more but for us we were ok with it.

This is a European style hotel, so very simple and spare with a modern aesthetic. It made me think of the deluxe dorm room you wish you had at college, which for me was perfect and very good value for the price. Nothing more than what you need: a clean comfortable room with a comfy bed, good wifi, microwave, tv, and clean efficient bathroom. There should be more places like this.

My only complaint was that the muffins were gummy.

Usually a Motel 6 is nothing to write home about, but this Motel 6 really surprised me. The room was clean and modern, no dark old furniture, but bright and functional. The window opened for fresh air, rare in a hotel. Staff was friendly. Light breakfast and 24-hour tea/coffee were appreciated. A good location for any business on the north end or downtown.

My pet peeve is bedding that feels as light as paper. It was quality bedding but no heft.

Room was clean and bright Hairdryer supplied and worked well. Laundry facilities were excellent, $1 for detergent , $3 for the washer and $2 for plenty of dryer time. Tea and coffee are supplied in the lobby.

Washbasin had hairline crack and should have been replaced. No carpet in room. Only muffins for breakfast.
