The facilities were great. Little dated but still great
The staff. While management was great, since we had a VIP treatment from them since we were meeting some high level officials from the Chagzhou government, the staff was rude and unaware of how to even assist us with our luggage (i.e. Getting the cart). Front desk was rude when we were asking about some charges. Since we had no breakfast included in the booking, we were willing to pay on the spot but the staff at the breakfast buffet was so rude ahe even pulled the plate off of my grandmother saying breakfast was not included (we communicated in Chinese that we were going to pay but it fell on deaf ears). Overall, the staff needs proper training or replacement. I travel a lot in China and in Changzhou and this is the first time we experienced any rude treatment from any hotels in the area. With that being said, we would still like to thank Jenny Tao, the Director for Sales and Marketing of Shangri La Changzhou for taking care if us and even upgrading my room to the executive suite. Your special assistance for us was truly appreiciated and we look forward to meeting you again.
