Grand Park Kunming

Breakfast was good!.. but, staff, although friendly, are very serious...They don't SMILE!.. The lady making the omelets (eggs station) didn't look so happy... I greeted her with a big smile... she din't looked at me or say anything...then, I asked: Are you having a hard day?.. She did not reply, then I asked again: why don't you smile?... She replied: "I don't have to smile" Anyway, the manager, a young gentleman, walked near our table; I stoped him and told him about my experience. He was VERY kind and VERY PROFESSIONAL...and promissed to get the employee to my table to apologize. I said, PLEASE don't...it's good enough you did talk to her. Next day, and everyday, that manager himself, came to our table with a great SMILE to get our omelet order and even delivered to our table HIMSELF!!! THANK YOU.

I wish that the staff would be trained to show they are very HAPPHY to work for the hospitality industry. I'm retired now. Most of my working experience is in the hospitality industry and understand how important is to serve the guest in a professional mode and with a great smile!... ALWAYS. So, I didn't like the "serious attitude"

Fast check in. Wide variety of breakfast. Nice view of fireworks during New Year’s Day. Good layout of tables, sofa chair and side table.

Breakfast was decent at best but bad most of the time. Room was very dim. Heater doesn’t work well. Small space for shower - you could only shower in the small bathtub.

Great location, room comfortable, breakfast is very good, reception staff very helpful.

Quite boring if you're there in the evening. Spa is closed, pool is closed and there is no real bar if you dont want to go out on a cold wet night.

Everything is Fantastic in This Hotel. If You Go to Kunming, I Highly Recommend You to Stay Here. Try The Buffet on Thursday, Friday or Saturday: Incredible Selection of Great Food, Seafood Included for Just 160 RMB. Fabulous🍲🎂🎉!!!

Great location, near the park, shopping, food etc interconnecting rooms, quiet, large rooms, professional staff, easy access for our driver.

Smoking in Neighbouring rooms, smoke carries through the corridor. Please crate non smoking entire floor 🙏🏻

all facilities are well maintained. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent and matchs the 5 star standard. the location of the hotel is also right in the city center within walking distance to all the public transport system.

The location couldn’t be better! The park nearby with little lane ways to explore and lovely cafes. The breakfast was also quite good. A mix of western and Chinese options. My kids love dumplings and pancakes so this was a hit. I also needed to work a little online while in town and the wifi and business spaces were decent and available

It’s under renovation which was fine with us but worth mentioning. The pool and gym are currently closed. As mentioned in reviews elsewhere and here the rooms are a little tired- hopefully they plan to do the rooms at some point as well.

The location is excellent. Very close to the old town and the shopping district. Rooms are big spacious. Excellent breakfast.

The staff needs a bit of training in English. It was quite difficult to communicate.
