Cannua Lodge

I came here with my girlfriend just for a night and it far exceeded our expectations. Right from the beginning, the staff was incredible. They had us skip check in because they wanted to make sure we got lunch. During lunch the owner came out to say hi and chatted with us for a bit. Then the food came out and it was amazing. Like, really good. Actually the food the entire time was some of the best I've had in Colombia after living here for a while. We stayed in a bungalow and the room was very spacious and had a great view. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

The staff was amazing. They arranged my airport taxis for both arrival/departure. They would send driver's info thru WhatsApp to ensure safety. Upon arrival they escort you to your cabana. The rooms are beautiful, minimalist, and kept cool due to the architectural design. The food with their on-property gardens are top notch. One of the co-owners Brian also took the whole group on a permaculture tour explaining the concepts behind Cannua. Can't wait to make it back

We stayed one night only in a Cabana high up on the hillside which had an amazing view and was well-constructed and well-equipped overall (the twin bed was not particularly comfortable but the king size one was very comfortable and the bedding was high quality). The bamboo ceiling is very cool and special and it was great to have a balcony though there were no chairs to sit on. We missed having a way to make coffee though we were told that they are in the process of equipping the rooms with coffee presses. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and well trained. Staying at the Cannua Lodge is a very special experience and I am sure we will be back in the future. Their commitment to sustainability and permaculture is admirable.

Overall the presentation of the food was beautiful though the quality was uneven. I ordered the 'Pacifico' dish of seafood in a kind of tamale. The seafood was overcooked and neither the texture nor the flavor was right. Several dishes were too salty. We ordered a salad to share that was delicious and gorgeously presented. The guava and cream dessert was delicious. So pretty good overall but definitely room for improvement in the kitchen especially considering the cost per dish.

Cannua is a fantastic experience to have. It is not a traditional hotel, but a place to rest and transform people´s perspectives about their way of seeing and interacting with ecosystems. While staying at Cannua, you will enjoy the most amazing gastronomic experiences. Breathtaking views. Wonderful and sustainable infrastructure, and moreover, the opportunity to learn about Permaculture, which is a smart way to use natural resources while benefiting the ecosystems. As a frequent traveler, I very much recommend having this experience. For locals and international travelers, one of the best places I have visited so far in Colombia.

That it finished very fast.

The location is breathtaking and gives you a chance to truly disconnect and relax. The food is excellent especially the on site produced vegetarian dishes. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the owner is always available for a chat about the philosophy of the hotel and the concept of permaculture. If you are in to rum I would def recommend you to do the rum tasting which was my personal highlight.

Cannua Lodge is an absolute dream getaway spot. The location is perfect in every way and the staff is incredible (Fabs, in particular, was absolutely wonderful). We stayed in a pristine Bungalow overlooking the beautiful countryside and had the opportunity to partake in a coffee tasting and chocolate tasting, both of which we would highly recommend. Also, make sure you come to the lodge hungry because the food is unparalleled in quality, flavor, and creativity. Do yourself a favor and stay here... You’ll thank me for it later.

Excellent location with beautiful view. Facilities are clean and amazingly speedy WIFI. The customer service is amazing, from the kitchen staff to the reception to the cleaning, everyone was very friendly and made me feel at home. The owners are very involved with the business, hosting various and diverse events and activities to keep you busy if you choose. I really liked the Coffee Tasting and the hikes. Honestly this was probably the best hotel i've ever stayed in Colombia. No complaints at all. Great place to escape for a few days and enjoy nature. I'll be back!

Cannua was the highlight of our trip! Everything from the moment we came to the moment we left was perfect. The staff is incredibly helpful and the attention to detail in everything makes it perfect! Food is amazing, very refined.

I really love the view area and it’s perfect area.

The shower is little bit cold but the co founder of the hotel told me that they will be working on that because of pandemic situation. I’m not complaint about it.

Stunning view, great kitchen and lovely staff. Great that they grow everything in their own gardens.

when booking, I filtered for a spa/wellness and it appeared they had only a massage room and two types of massages. We expected a little more of the spa.
