Eco Boutique Hotel Vista Las Islas Reserva Natural

The hotel is in a beautiful location surrounded by jungle and howler monkeys with a beautiful view of the sea and islands. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also kid/family friendly. The breakfast was also excellent. Very close to the bioluminescence kayak tours and tortuga island tours.

Amazing view and infinity pool The staff and hosts are very nice people and did everything to make our stay special The breakfast and restaurant in general are very good, all the meals were amazing. You can spot different animals in the property, it is very nice, and the beach is close by. Perfect to relax a few days.

Can get crowded sometimes, with some people who can visit outside of the hotel, but i guess it doesn’t happen often.

The view was spectacular everywhere you looked.I didn't know what to expect meal-wise, but everything I tried was fantastic. I really liked the fact it was relatively small-scale and everyone on the staff made you feel welcome every time they saw you. They made arranging transport and tours a breeze. I was sad to leave and can't wait to go back.

The wifi wasn't always available in the room, but that just made my digital detox much easier. The breakfast buffet was very good, but it could use a little more variety.

The view, the restaurant and the swim poo. I also liked the attention from the night staffs.

I didn’t like the mornings staff. The ladies in the restaurant are unfriendly and they not cleaned my room although I asked for it. At the next day we didn’t have paper toilet and clean towels not either Another thing was I went with my mother who is 83 years all and they wasn’t kind to provide a room not far away from the restaurant. Our room was absolutely far away and my mom upped a lot stairs. Also the prices of the food are over price. Other issue is the road, it’s in bad condition.

Beautiful view! Great pool and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They had a covered seating area with a pool table. It rained our entire stay so it was nice not to be confined only to our room. Wifi worked well throughout the property. You'll hear and see howler monkeys, we also saw some white neck blue magpie Jays. Beach is close by as well! I'd recommend having a 4x4 style vehicle as some of the road in is rough. Especially if during your stay you get lots of rain.

Overall there wasn't anything we didn't like. With all the rain we were quite bored as the main activities around the hotel are the tours to Tortuga Island and water activities. There isn't much around to do when it rains. Be nice if some yoga mats or tvs with Netflix capabilities were available to help with boredom.

Beautiful location, really didn't expect that view even though I had glanced at photos prior to booking, once you arrive, it really does take your breath away! It was perfectly located close to the ferry since we were travelling back to San Jose the following day. It was the perfect last place to stay before ending our trip. The pool overlooks the stunning Playa Organos/Playa Gigante whilst also being in view of Tortuga Island. It was absolutely stunning. The rooms were basic, but clean and provided everything we needed. We appreciated the balcony which also provided us with the similar view over the ocean.

Room was at the very bottom, so quite a walk back up with all our luggage ( keep that in mind ) but hey ho, exercise :D

I loved the view and the natural world embracing the hotel. The sad part might be the development happening below where trees are being cut down for foreign investment -- nothing to do with the hotel. But the chainsaw each morning put a pit in my stomach. You could almost hear the sad cries of the howler monkeys each time the chainsaw started up. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the staff are very kind. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The hill to get there was quite the surprise. It was straight up a mountain and you had to take a good run at it and hope your car tires don't slip or pop on the stones. I would rather have a paved road all the way to the top! Renting a car in Costa Rica has a monopoly on insurance so I wasn't allowed to use my own insurance. this puts a damper on future visits to CR, as they make it very expensive to visit and rent a car. For this hotel, you almost need a car to get to from the airport.

The view from the room (including the shower) and from floating in the pool was excellent. Stunning. The beds were very comfortable. I appreciated the clothesline on the balcony. We enjoyed the out door game and sitting area.

The curtains in the room were not hung correctly on their rings. I took about 10 minutes to make multiple adjustments to them in order to close them and keep out the morning light. Luckily I was tall enough to do this without needing to move and climb on furniture. The restaurant's food was disappointing.

Pura Vida! A prodigious shout out to the exceptional hospitality team at Vista Las Islas, particularly Anja, Thomas, Reese, Dennis, and Christopher! I just adored the very authentic location, absolutely breathtaking views (from the pool, intimate restaurant, and one-of-a-kind balcony), simply delicious and reasonably-priced food and drinks (particularly the Mojito, Coca-Cola regular, Mahi Mahi, Coconut Shrimp, and a variety of Pizzas), perfect infinity pool, and outstandingly exhilarating tours (specifically the Bioluminescence Night Kayaking, Monkey Island and Tortuga Island Snorkeling, Curu Wildlife Refuge, and Montezuma Canopy and Waterfall Ziplining). The free cocktail card and free breakfast were spectacular features. The bathroom shower is a room highlight. From beginning to end, the taxi service coordinated through the hotel was reliable, reasonably-priced, and always on-time (shout out to my upbeat and knowledgeable driver, Walter). The view from my balcony (day and night) was full of lush forest, sparkling beaches, and bright, twinkling stars. Hearing the Howler monkeys intermittently throughout the day and night brought me an incredible sensory experience of a true Costa Rican wildlife paradise. The sophisticated staff would call me by name and knew my vacation schedule expertly! I loved that the beauty of the natural world was literally all around you, with a variety of birds, butterflies, and lizards. The sweet and well cared for cats on property were a comforting and welcoming touch. When in Costa Rica in the future, I will definitely Vista Las Islas! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, soul, and spirit for everything, everything! You all worked together as an impressive team of professionals who made my first Costa Rican adventure forever memorable and super epic! :o)
