Grandhotel Zvon

I liked the location, the window view from exchanged room, facility, breakfast. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I did not like the room I received when I arrived. I booked the Superior room in Grandhotel. The room with bathroom was actually nice but the windows faced the inner part of the hotel - the roof with air conditioning outlets. In the reception I was informed that all Superior rooms have no view to the main square, just the Deluxe rooms. I asked for a change, I paid extra money and I received very nice room with the charming view of the Christmas decorated square.

Good room size. Room came with a kitchen, with a kettle, tea bags, even plates and cutlery. Central location with lots to do around. There was even a courtyard in the central courtyard outside, thankfully we couldn't hear it from our room. Breakfast was good, with sufficient options.

Bit of a maze in the beginning to get to our room. Parking is a bit of a hassle if coming by car, since the central courtyard only allows max. 2 hours parking. Room looked different from the photos, with smaller windows and a slanted ceiling. Non-existent view; our room overlooked the next roof.

Hotel is in perfect location, middle of the main square, so you can explore C. Budejovice on foot. Inside, it's a maze of corridors, as the whole facility is built inside old buildings (as almost all in the old town). Even parking is a part of this complex! Room was spacious, with all amenities, big bathroom, elevator etc. Breakfast was quite good, overall.

Our room overlooked internal patio and had little to no view. On top of that, no a/c and exposure to the south meant rather unpleasant heat. Also please not you need to use car elevator to get to the garage. If you have large car, please reconsider.

The room was spacious and very nice. Although it was on the circle, it was quiet and pieceful with easy access anywhere. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but only if the airconditioner at this room works.

There was a problem with the airconditioning system in the building, and although we booked the Dellux room specifically for the airconditioner, it did not work the entire week, which was unfortunate becasue at least the two first days were extremely hot. Due to the airconditioner problem, I would have moved to another hotel but I had prepaid for my stay.

An old hotel built in three sections with labyrinthine corridors. My room was spacious and well furnished but faced onto a light well, not the square, and was rather gloomy. However, the price was very reasonable. Note to management: polished stone floors near the entry should not be washed down just as guests are leaving in the morning. I'm too old to walk on skating rinks

Location in the middle of downtown at the square is perfect! the breakfast was very good, lots of choice and plenty of place to sit when it is busy in the morning.THe breakfast staff were working and cleaning very hard. The rooms were nice and big, little bit outdated and ugly prints on the wall, but that is just a matter of taste. The bathroom was nice and big and clean. We also had a very nice dinner in the ground floor restaurant in the evening. Good Czech food (organic meet) and beers and a friendly service minded waiter.

both lady receptionists we interacted with were absolutely not friendly (At time of check in and check out) we were the only ones at the desk, so either of them didn't seem to be busy. Not even a "welcome" or "how was your stay? or "were you happy with our service". It was basically giving us our key and taking it back...

I love this hotel even the message before I arrived about spoiling me with wine in my room on arrival or breakfast bought to my room! Wow! The room which is was really beautiful also had an excellent view of the town hall and all of the square! In their award winning restaurant you can eat the best steaks straight from their farm and they are famous for the Pilsen Urquell beer piped directly from a copper tank🍻 What a treat to stay here! I wish to highly recommend both the Grandhotel Zvon & their restaurant. 10/10!

It was clean, and beautiful, and actually in the city centre. The hotel has the feeling of being in the oldtown of the city. The room was perfect, including the bathroom. The breakfast was more like continental, than a variaety of choices, but was good quality and enough. The parking garage was fun (they've lifted the car on the floor where your room was), and we loved it. On the reception their English was fluent.

We had a dinner one evening in the restaurant of the Hotel. It was a really bad experience. Though the people were kind and we were served quickly, but the food was lower then middle level, my was even a bit raw. The waiters were overwhelmed, and you had to find a table for yourself in crowded place (had to go outside in April). I hope it was a one time experience, and it is not usual. What was really wierd, that the cities beer is Budvar, and they've served Pilsner Urquell. That definitely needs a change...

The is a large traditional hotel situated on the main square. Check in and checkout were very efficient as was the hotel parking procedure. The staff was friendly and professional. There were several comfortable sitting rooms throughout the hotel. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was also large and well equipped. Breakfast was very good and was served in a very pleasant large room on the first floor overlooking the square. There are two restaurants, a formal 'gourmet' one upstairs and an informal one downstairs which also has bar facilities.

It was a pity that the hotel did not make guests fully aware of the various facilities available in the hotel.

The location - it is right on the main square. It was a very large room, nicely equipped with coffee making facilities, a good desk to work from. Even a very comfortable sofa. I also like the skylights in the room I was in. Also the breakfast options were extensive and tasty.

The only negative experience was that when I went to have a shower in the morning (quite early, 7 am) the water was luke warm at best. But survivable. The heating in the room worked fine, so I don't know what the issue was, and as I was checking out after the shower and had to be somewhere, I saw no reason to complain.
