Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre, an IHG Hotel

The reception is super helpful and friendly. Fast and efficient, nothing negative to say... all positive and perfect experience.

The housekeeping! Put on the clean the room sign and did not clean our room for 2 days. Had to request new towels so that we can take a bath when we came back. Everything in this hotel is perfect except for the HOUSEKEEPING TEAM. The manager needs to do something about this. It affects the other team / department because of the lousiness of the housekeeping team.

Friendly and accommodating staff especially Maria? lovely lady from Romania. Very attentive to guest needs be it providing information, assisting with check in and attending to the cafe/breakfast area. We felt like appreciated guests - very welcoming. The building is very clean, modern and for us the location as a family is ideal. You can get there from the airport via train. You can take the tram to ferry terminals. It's located nearby a bus terminal. It's perfect. Lots of 'break out' rooms too, little corners to hang out and socialise. Highly recommended. Have stayed a couple of times.

What did we like? Everything. Our very comfortable room with an expansive view over a square and beyond, the fabulous breakfast, the pleasant staff, and the location which was close to central railway station where we caught the train to the airport, and also to a really good supermarket opposite the railway station. Our hotel was also located within walking distance of many other attractions.

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a real gem. Wished we had booked more than 2 nights here.

When I was looking for a good and convenient accommodation in Helsinki, I even did not know how good was my choice when I decided to choose Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre. This is really a wonderful choice located in the heart of Helsinki, right next to the train station, but regardless of the hustle and bustle of the station itself, the property is so calm and relaxed. The staff is great, the cleanliness is really very good, the rooms are good as well at attached bathrooms and the breakfast amazing. The choice is really great and everybody can find its right choice. I guarantee that every single person, regardless of her/his taste will leave their breakfast room satisfied and full with all the necessary energy needed for nice day exploration of Helsinki city. My satisfaction was complete and if the circumstances bring me to Helsinki again, I will be the guest of this property no doubts.

The only, tiny minus was the location of my room that had a view toward the something that I could call an inner courtyard. This has caused for my room to be somewhat darker than ideal during the day. In any case, just a minor detail.

Location is right in the city center with bus and train station right in front. It is also closed to National library and shopping area. The variety menu for breakfast also good. Room is spacious and clean. The staffs that made my trip so wonderful. Mira and Florentina are really nice, friendly and helpful. They showed my the maps + where the tourist area are. The shopping center. Mira helped me to book the ferry ride to Estonia. Florentina helped me to printed my flight ticket and my tour arrangement. They are so attentive and responsive.

The location is excellent right beside where you exit from the airport train. The hotel is just there and very central, supermarket very near and restaurants. The food was great for dinner (small menu but everything was very tasty) and the breakfast was amazing such a choice and we took some fruit for later in the day. Overall gr

Hotel probably needs an upgrade and to compete with other hotels needs a swimming pool. The restaurant closes on a Sunday and Monday and that was not clear in booking.

The best gluten and dairy free offer for breakfast! I could also eat a lot of food in the section that didn’t offer only gluten and dairy free products. Everything was marked very good and the staff were really friendly! Would love to come back and recommend the hotel! The location is perfect, very close to the city center and directly next to the main railway station.

I would prefer if the room would have a better heating system. For me it was a bit cold, but very friendly staff offered me a portable heater to my room and it was better.

The location is top. Everything is easy to reach, many sights even by walking. There is a 24h supermarket just next to the hotel. The hotel has a sauna which is open from 5pm until 10pm. The breakfast was reasonably rich. There is a bike rental just in front of the hotel which is one of the best ways to easily get around in the city. I would choose this hotel again on my next stay in Helsinki.

The hotel looks somewhat aged. However, everything is clean and value for money is very good.

Location was very strategic. A few steps away from the train station. many restaurants and convenience stores at the vicinity. Shopping malls were righr around the corner. Staff at the reception and breakfast room were warm and welcoming.

Housekeeping service below average. our beds were not made properly. Bathrooms were not cleaned well. Still had hair strands on the sink and shower drainage. We had to remove it ourselves. Used coffee mugs were not cleaned. This was the downside of our stay.

Very good location, the hotel is conveniently located next door from the train station, which was a concern at the time of booking because of potential noise coming from the train station and busses but the rooms are very quiet and well insulated from any noise from the street or trains and all tourist attractions are walking distance. The room has a comfortable size and it was very clean. The ladies at the front desk are very helpful and kind. Thanks to all of them. Breakfast has a good selection. Wi-fi connection was fine, I didn't have big troubles
