Omena Hotel Tampere

it’s not very fancy but at the same time it has everything that you need. location is amazing. you are directly in the city Center and close to Nokia arena. once I received the entrance code access to the building and my room was super easy. I was positively surprised by how quiet it was despite staying there on weekends and despite the hockey world championship ongoing. mostly young, easy going people in the building.

didn’t receive the entrance code automatically but had to call the Omena hotline when arriving in Tampere. would have preferred one queen-size or king-size bed instead of 2 90x200cm movable beds that are put together.

As my previous Omena in Helsinki, what you get for what you pay is great. Not for people who like to be welcomed by reception staff - you get sent a a door code. I may be confusing the Tampere and Turku Omenas. I think this one also had the red bathroom unit, but this was newer and more solid. Good to have coffee, kettle fridge. Location is just a few yards off the main street in the city. This was cleaner and tidier than the Helsinki hotel. I seem to recall it being a better shape than the Helsinki Kamppi hotel.

Again a bed with a headboard would make me feel a little more anchored. Nothing left to dislike.

Room was very well sized and clean, addition of a fridge and microwave was very handy for keeping drinks cold. The location is excellent being just 5 minutes walk from the main train station and close to a department store as well as two tram stops. The keyless system was very practical also.

Not sure whether single rooms are available with longer notice, but as a single traveller I would consider this option, especially given the budget-oriented nature of the hotel.

It was quiet at night. Fantastic central location. Key code access worked quite well. Kettle & microwave worked well. WiFi was good. Reasonable range of movies in English. Price was good enough for Finland.

Shower curtin too short to prevent water soaking the bathroom. No crockery or cutlery - I had to purchase some, so I could use the microwave! There appeared to be no controls for the air conditioning, so the room was always too warm. It was a bit weird having no staff on the premises.

I had a corner, double aspect room which was lovely and bright and also spacious. The bed was comfortable and there was enough tea and coffee. The shower had two shower heads and was powerful. There was a hairdryer and a socket near the mirror on the showerroom door. it was warm.

The coffee was not good! On the second day there was a lot of sticky mess on the floor of the lift and in the corridor. I did not see any staff so wondered how long it would take for this to be cleaned up. The windows would not open.

The room was large and had a microwave and a fridge. It is located in central Tampere close to the station and a supermarket.

There are no visible staff and the room is only cleaned once every five days. Guests are asked to sort rubbish and place the recycling bags in the foyer but there is no obvious place to put them there and no one else had bothered.

Location perfect for running track and trams and buses. Comfortable room with fridge, microwave and kettle. Bedlinen and towels changed every few days

It was a bit stuffy, air con not very good. Couldn't open the windows. Virw wasn't great .Added an extra day on and as door code was changed got locked out from about 10-4 which was irritating. Lift didn't always work. Although rooms cleaned well, stairs and vestibules wasn't and empty bottles and rubbish left around

If you once stayed in Omena hotel, you know all of them. It is basic, but 100% functional. Our stay in Tampere was great, everything (wifi, fridge, microwave, heating) was working properly, the room was clean and comfortable and the location is the best you can get in this town.

If we really have to, pick some con, maybe the quality of the complimentary coffee was not too good (contrary to the tea)

A really like this hotel, which is in the city centre, close to everything. I like that no need to care about key, I had a code with could open the door. I can recommend this hotel, if you stay in Tampere.

I couldn't open the window, and sometimes it was no fresh air in the room.

Comfy beds. Smooth check-in. Clean facilities.

Unfortunately we were given room 516 which was located right opposite the 5th floor entry door which meant that we could easily hear everyone entering/exiting our floor. Also as it was a Saturday night it was a busy night. At our previous stay we had a room right at the end of the corridor which meant no passing people and no noise. Next time I will request a room at the end of the corridor. Otherwise we had a great stay.
