Hôtel du Palais de l'Isle

A very comfortable and stylish double room with fantastic views. A very spacious single room, similarly appointed. Excellent bathrooms, Rituals toiletries, very comfortable beds. The bar/breakfast room isn't cosy. We didn't opt for breakfast but the staff were charming in the bar/reception. And the wine was both good and good value. The real joy of this hotel is it's amazing location, right in the heart of the town by the canal. Would definitely return.

Being in the centre of the town means there is noise from the streets below. The double glazing definitely cut out much of it but it was noticeable. No parking. Which we were aware of. The car park is very close though and there is a discount voucher given by the hotel. €4.50 for about 18 hours so excellent value for its central location.

The hotel is strategically located in the very heart of Annecy, easy to reach all must-see places in a short walk. it is a pedestrian area, but it's easy to park at the nearby public HOTEL DE VILLE PARKING, the hotel has a discounted rate, for one entire night we only paid 5,00€ parking. The walking distance to the hotel is around 200 mt., very close and easy to find. The room was very spacious ( we had a triple room ), with view over the canal and the lake, very well furnished with tea/coffee facilities, bathroom and separate WC. Double bed comfortable. Breakfast well assorted to fit all tastes. Reception staff very nice and helpful. Price is worth. Would totally recommend.

One sole thing, the third bed is eventually a sleeping sofa which appears to be a bit old-fashioned. It squeaked all night and was not very comfortable to sleep in. In a triple room it is expected to have 3 real beds.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Du Palais de L'Isle! The location is arguably the best in the city, right on the Pont Perriere with views of the Palais de I'lle (hence the name of the hotel). . The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast had a good selection and was reasonably priced. We booked 2 rooms: The 'Ducs' suite #205 which was quite large with high ceilings. It was lovely, but really didn't have the view we were hoping for. On the other hand, room 203 was very small BUT had an outstanding view of Pont Perriere and the Palais de I'lle, and it had a small balcony, where one could sip coffee or drink wine. So we were trying to decide which room was better: The large suite with partial view or the very small room with fantastic views. You can't go wrong with either. Also because this is an authentic building hundreds of years old, the lift was very small. There is a tight spiral stairway as well.

The location was dreamy, bang in the middle of old town Annecy and the view from our balcony first thing in the morning was even better than the photos! Staff were very attentive and our room was exceptionally clean. The room had everything we needed once we got used to the French way of washing your hair in the bath! Continental Breakfast was good and set us up nicely for the day. Room was warm and comfortable but being in the middle of old town Annecy meant it was a little noisy first thing in the morning, but I would never have traded that for the location which was simply beautiful

Room could be insulated a little better to reduce noise from outside. Maybe a shower curtain so could shower rather than bath. A sink in the toilet.

Location fantastic, heart of the old city, plenty restaurants caffed and sandwich stalls all over the place. Annecy is a beautifully city and the location is a hub to walk anywhere. It's a small hotels, the rooms ok, maybe as you should expect from a 3 star hotel.

Beds a bit too narrow and not the most comfortable as you might want. It's a simple place, and we didn't check the breakfast as it was overpriced, and the dining room didn't seem appealing. They do offer 5 Euro discount to the city parking, so that's a perk. Overwhole we where datisfied.

This hotel is in a fabulous location. Even before I arrived the hotel made contact with me & asked if I needed anything & let me know that they were there to help. It was a nice start to my stay. The bed was really comfortable with great quality bed linen. I had breakfast at the hotel one morning & they made sure that I had a gluten free breakfast. The breakfast was buffet style with lots of choices.

The internet is really slow & patchy. It wasn’t a concern for me. The shower had some mould.

Location could not have been better. Check in was easy. Room was a nice size - few steps within the room that you need to be aware off - only short steps - just to those who use the bathroom during the night. Separate toilet was nice. Shower a little tricky to use without getting water onto the floor. Breakfast was a nice selection. Car parking was close to the hotel and the hotel provided a discounted rate.

Location was super! So central and very close to the main car park.

Our room had a step which was really not visible as it blended with carpet, I tripped several times as needed to go up to toilet, bruised toe and knee, but staff were caring and friendly. Thank you

The location of the hotel was the major plus point. If you stay in the suite, you would probably get one of the best views that one can imagine in Annecy. I was very thankful that the hotel had air-conditioned rooms. There was hence no need to open the windows to cool the rooms. Nonetheless, I was pleased that all the windows were very well sound-proofed considering that the hotel is located on a super busy pedestrian street. We slept well! While the hotel is located in the old town, you can still drive your car there to load your baggages if you are leaving before 11am.

Since it is in an old building, the access to rooms are narrow, and involve going up and down. Can be difficult when you have big luggages, or have mobility issues. For the price that we paid, the (simple) breakfast could have been included as part of the package. It comprise a very limited spread.

the location is the best in town, right across the corner you will find Palais de l’Isle and Christmas Market. the room was comfortable, remodeled. complimentary tea and coffee on the room.

the bathroom was not functional, taking bath is challenging, as the water pression was not working well and the bath was very tight. the toilet was separated from the lavatory and bath. the regulation of the temperature didn’t allow to make it less warm and it was excessively hot inside the room.
